Rohnert Park, CA – Sonoma State Men’s Lacrosse has announced Alex Richmond as Defensive Coordinator. Sonoma State finished second in the WCLL this past year and seventh in the final Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association Coach’s Poll.

“After doing a nationwide search, we found the right candidate was right here inside the Sonoma State family,” stated photo (1)Panchito Ojeda, Head Coach at Sonoma State. ”Alex will bring a lot of passion and knowledge of the game to the Seawolves, not to mention his passion for our continued success. It is going to be an exciting year with Coach Richmond and Coach D’Angelo.”

Sonoma State Welcomes 18

Sonoma State Welcome 18 Newcomers
Rohnert Park, CA - Sonoma State is pleased to announce the incoming freshman class for the 2013-2014 season. With one of the biggest recruiting classes in Sonoma State history, the Seawolves bring in 18 freshmen. This class features young men from up and down the coast of California, as well as one from Idaho.

“We are very excited for this year’s recruiting class” said Head Coach Panchito Ojeda. He continued “This group of young men come to Sonoma ready to work and are looking to contribute to our program right away. They have the right attitude and character to be a part of the Sonoma Family.”

Sonoma State Announces 2014 Captains

The Sonoma State Men’s Lacrosse team has announced their captains for the upcoming 2014 season. Four junior classmen, Connor Kuehnle, Ed Meyer, Sam Willon, and Blane Sando have been picked to lead the Seawolves into battle this year, with hopes of returning to the National Championship Tournament for the second straight year.

Sonoma Releases 2014 Schedule

Sonoma State Men’s Lacrosse will face another difficult schedule in 2014. The Seawolves, who finished 7th last season, will face 10 teams who finished in the Top 25 in 2013. Six of those teams were selected for the Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association’s National Tournament in Greenville, SC last May.
