If rankings were seedings, it would be Oregon vs Sonoma State. However, I am guess there will be some movement before the tournament, especially in the WCLL with SSU 7, CA: 9 and Stanford 12.

Don't forget Cal Poly too.

Final Four teams are set. Stanford v. Cal & Poly v. Chico will have big implications on who gets what seed. Games will be at Novato HS. #1 v. #4 @ 11:45am and #2 v. #3 @ 2:30pm.

How does the WCLL tie-breaker work? If Stanford beats Cal and Poly beats Chico, there will be 3 teams at 4-2. The WCLL is the MCLA's version of Thunderdome.

It will come down to goal differential between the 3 teams.
Currently, here's where we stand:
Cal Poly: -4
Cal: +5
Stanford: -1
So if Stanford beats Cal, then Cal and Stanford will likely be the #2 and #3 seeds and we would be the #4 (unless Stanford won by 9 goals or more).
If Cal wins, then they will be the #2, CP will be #3, and Stanford would be #4. If Cal wins, we will be the #3 even if we lost to Chico, because we would own the head-to-head tiebreaker with Stanford.

Re: Nike / IL MCLA Division I Poll - 04/23/2013
Sonoma has earned the number 1 seed:
There is potential for a 3 way tie for second, depending upon the games this weekend.
Here are the conference tie breaker rules:
a) most victories in head to head play
b) highest point differential in games (among) tied teams
c) highest point differential between (among) tied teams in games within the conference.
d) coin flip
Here are the scenarios:
Scenario 1) CP wins, Cal wins: Cal #2, CP #3, Stan #4
Scenario 2) CP wins, Cal loss by 2 or less: Cal #2, CP #3, Stan #4
Scenario 3) CP wins, Cal loss by 3, (go to TBc to break 2nd tie): Stan #2, Cal #3, CP #4
Scenario 4) CP wins, Cal loss by 4+: Stan #2, Cal #3, CP #4
Scenario 5) CP loss, CP #4, (#2/#3 determined by winner)

That doesn't look correct to me, Gary.
For instance, if Stanford loses they will be 3-3. If we lost to Chico, it would then be a two-way tie between us and Stanford at 3-3. So aren't we still the #3 seed due to head to head.
And according to my math, if Stanford wins, then we will be the #4 seed, except in the unlikely event that they beat Cal by 10 goals:
SU beats Cal by 10:
#2: SU +9
#3: CP -4
#4: Cal -5
Otherwise, if Stanford wins, then both Cal and Stanford will have better goal differential than we do.
clear as mud?
