Not sure how anyone can vote ASU at #1.

It's possible if you're programmed to never give BYU any credit

Re: Nike / IL DI Poll - 3/5/13
A few things to note. First, once again, only 28 out of 30 of the voters voted. I guess we are getting closer to all 30 voting. If the MCLA wants some consistency in their polls, they need to have every voter vote. Kick them out and replace them with someone else if they can't get it done. This is ridiculous.
I'm not sure if they were supposed to count the Texas/BC game, but if they did, they must not have thought the loss hurt them much. Assuming that Texas plays UCSB on Sunday (for some reason, it got taken off the schedule possibly due to a time change), they could have two losses before the next poll.
Big move for Sonoma State (+6) and big drop for Pitt (-7). Buffalo plays their first game against a surging Georgia Tech team and Michigan State has still not played a game. We will have to wait another week for their first game.

Not sure how ASU gets that #1 vote either. Also, can someone provide Inside Lacrosse with a picture of another team besides ASU for their MCLA articles?

Agreed. As a voter it bothers me that guys are able to vote and adversely affect the consistency and validity of the poll. Hopefully this will be dealt with soon.

Votes were due on Sunday night so the BC v Texas game was not included in our results. T be fair BC probably swaps spots with Texas. Not too much else changes from that at least not first blush.

Votes were due before the Texas/BC game took place, so that game is NOT taken into account in this poll. (UPDATE: damn, Panchito beat me by two minutes).
Interesting that Arizona is back in the Top 25 (deservedly) on the basis of their road victory over Simon Fraser, but that Grand Canyon is still not in the poll even though they beat UA and lost to Chapman by a goal.

Ha. Good to see you on here commenting!

I agree. I voted for Grand Canyon based on their close results and beating U of A. I put them at 21. However, I will say, I felt like it was a bit of crapshoot there at the end. Just unclear who those last teams in should be. I think we know more in the next couple of weeks as OOC play really heats up and teams start traveling.
Side note, congrats to BC. Trips to FL and TX and 5-0. Gotta be happy about that. Now the question is, if they don't win PCLL will those wins be enough to take them to Greenville?

Good wins, but early in the season, and could be diluted by the time selections come around. They'd better hope that Texas & FSU don't crap the bed.

Didn't FSU already crap the bed? I would like to see how the selection committee deals with Buffalo and BC if the are both on the borderline. Buffalo plays better teams OOC, but BC traveled farther and played teams that were projected to be good. Who knows.
I also think Grand Canyon should have gotten some love. They are the first DII to DI team that has really made any noise after the jump. Same number of wins, but that one goal loss to Chapman and beating Arizona is pretty impressive.

BC still has 3 top 25 teams on their schedule. I know the message boards have been gone for a while, so I'll update you guys on what has happened since the downtime: the PCLL is good.
