Tufts players were found guilty of "unacceptable behavior," school officials told the Daily. An investigation was launched after a Tufts student alleged the athletes harassed Smith volleyball players with sexist and racist insults.

Coach Daly did an admirable thing and put winning games secondary to the importance of student-athletes representing their team and institution in a positive light. Don't get me wrong, I am all for heckling. I believe it is the duty of the home crowd to make the visiting team "uncomfortable." But the line needs to be clearly drawn at racism and sexism.
