Huge news on the latest podcast:
http://byulacrosse.com/
UMBC and Denver are coming to Provo in October. Also, alot of details on the status of BYU going NCAA. From the sounds of it, they are alot closer than I ever imagined. Pete and Tom, anything to add?
On a sidenote, I still can't find the podcast on itunes. One other thing, maybe give Jason a little more notice about these things. Whenever you press him on stuff like recruits and stuff, he says his info is all on his computer. As a self proclaimed lax junkie, he should understand my need for more info.
And another thing, why don't more teams do a podcast?

How? What equipment would I need? I'd love to it for CU or the RMLC as a whole even... maybe (that seems like a HUGE job now that I say it outload).
Any advice or where to get started? This is definitely something i'd like to do for CU at least.

So Tom or Pete or Jordan, any details yet? Such as, will it be on BYU TV? Will you play on south field or in Edwards Stadium? What will the format be?

I think the tournament is going to be played at the new intermural fields at BYU. Kind of a new venue for BYU Lax, but it's a really nice facility.
I would imagine that it would be a similar format to the Michigan/Hopkins/Army format in that each team will play BYU then DU will play UMBC. Nothing official on any of this, just speculation. I'm sure Tom can give you the official info.

Just a couple of thoughts to bring a little perspective and info to the conversation:
1) A BYU lax team playing at LES in the fall is as likely as President Clinton taking a vow of celibacy and joining a monastery.
2) If the event happens it will be held at South field so tickets can be pre-sold and and a crowd of ~3000 can cheer on some great lacrosse. The initial phase of the building project (the bleachers) will be completed in time for the BYU Laxstravaganza.
3) Lets remember this is fall ball. Not only fall ball but a 3 way, one day, fall ball game. It is a scrimmage for all 3 teams. Sure all teams want to show well (BYU probably more than the other 2) but it is an evaluation tool for all three teams. BYU will be evaluating how they stand up to a couple great DI teams, and the DI teams will be evaluating their talent (probably every player on their roster).
4) Considering #3 above I cant see BYU TV broadcasting this event. The format alone is prohibitive to a television broadcast. Maybe it could be worked out if they received enough email or demand for the event. I just don't see how a 3 way scrimmage format is enticing to the BYU TV producers.
5) I will do everything in my power to travel 2100 miles to be there
