I initially laughed at this video but then I sat down and thought, "Wow, that's just sad..."

I'm sure that within 48 hours there will be a "I'm voting Democrat" video that lampoons flip-flopping (or critical thinking to some) and tax hikes.

This video is really nothing more than a series over-generalizations and it grossly misrepresents many Republican line items, but for some reason I still really enjoy it.

That's definitely the most smug thing I've seen in a while.

I am voting democratic because the liberal social and cultural agendas that have been implemented over the last 40 years have really helped the groups identified in this video.

These programs have worked so well there is nothing to complain about. Welfare, social security, medicaid, medicare, equal rights amendment etc have delivered.

That video is extremely irrational, it's hard to believe that anyone could agree with what it says.

It's a farce, dude... and a well executed one at that. Very funny.

That video is geared toward people that are dumb enough to believe it.

Considering I am just getting off of a gas station remediation project entirely funded by the Chevron corporation. Gosh gas companies paying for there own clean-ups instead of waiting 30 years for funds to become available from the state. How horrible! We should go take there profits away. We don't want them to do voluntary cleanups.

And the Drug companies we don't want them to create new drugs because Drugs are Bad!

OMG! My genetically modified and irradiated food is able to grow in droughts, feed millions more people than traditional, combat malaria, and has no harmful bacteria.

Idiots!

Yeah, stupid jerks making jokes. I hate jokes! I also hate puppies, rainbows, candy, the sun, and air. The puppies I hate because they tend to disagree with me, the rest of the things I hate just because I have nowhere else to direct my rage. So much rage!
Also, semilaxed: "their." Just letting you know.

Knowing the proper usage of that little gem is definitely a prerequisite to being able to call people "dumb."

I post because it is all about perception.

"If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it,
people will eventually come to believe it."-Joseph Goebbels- Leader of the Nazi Propaganda Unit (Do I need to use MLA format on this?)

Though it appears to be a joke you don't know how many people actually believe this crap. Its intention probably is not to be a joke. This isn't a Daily Show or Colbert Report where people look at it as a joke right away. This has the satire and appearance of a "truth ad". I don't think that this stuff needs to stop. I think that it just needs to be balanced with some facts.

It's a YouTube video. Anyone who misconstrues a YouTube video as reality is probably too dumb to cast a vote anyway.

And what exactly is a "truth ad?" That's an oxymoron if ever there was one. . .

"GET INVOLVED
Share this movie with a friend. Encourage your friends to register to vote.

Check out your state’s Democratic Party website.

Put up a lawn or window sign. (These are usually available at local campaign headquarters.) When you put up a sign consider placing it where the most people will see it. Be sure to only place signs on your own property or where you have permission to place the sign.

Display a bumper sticker. These are also available at local campaign headquarters.

Wear a button or T-Shirt supporting a Democratic candidate. (Don’t forget about candidates running for senator, representative, and state legislatures. These offices sometimes make as much (or more) difference than the president.) Remember, when you wear a candidate’s promotional materials you become an ambassador for that candidate, and others may judge the candidate by your actions and behavior.

A great way to get involved is through MoveOn. http://www.moveon.org/
MoveOn is an organization that brings real Americans back into the political process. With over 3.2 million members across America – from carpenters to stay-at-home moms to business leaders – they work together to realize the progressive promise of our country. MoveOn is a way for busy but concerned citizens to find their political voice in a system dominated by big money and big media.

MOST IMPORTANTLY – please talk to your friends.
Research shows that face to face personal contact is the best way to get someone to vote."

"GET INFORMED
Consider getting your news from various sources – not just TV (Too often TV provides shallow coverage of the same stories. Or reporters who don’t do real investigation, but just look for opportunities to talk “on location.”)
Distrust editorials; look for facts - all the facts. Much editorial writing, especially about politics or government action, twists carefully selected factoids to further the writer’s own agenda. Or the agenda of his publisher.

Read newspapers – check out the New York Times – also available online at http://www.nytimes.com/

Listen to National Public Radio – available online at http://www.npr.org/ – or from a station near you.
(NPR also has a great show that makes fun of the news – Wait, Wait, Don’t Tell Me.)

Check out BBC World News for a different perspective – how do people outside of the U.S. see the world? Available online at http://www.bbc.co.uk/worldservice/

PIRG stands for Public Interest Research Group. They work to protect citizens against corporations. There is one for each state – find yours through the national website at www.uspirg.org"

This is just some stuff from their website.

I don't think this is a couple of college kids with a camera.
