No, I as well am participating in both, but i did not see Romania tying both France and Italy, nor did I see Croatia beating Germany...so that bracket is shot...still waiting for that Torres guy to get some goals for my fantasy team

The US will never succeed internationally as long as players the likes of Landon Donovan is on the team. Freddy Adu is clever scapegoat but we have a long way to go before we are the team that Sam's Army thinks we are. The generation lead by Kasey Keller are almost gone.

Who will replace them?

Well said KnoxVegas. I remember watching the 06 cup and being disappointed again and again by Donovan. It is amazing that he still gets caps despite the fact he does nothing for us in international play. I thought Keller was dead, he's like 50 years old. Didn't he play in the cup we hosted in 94???

If any of you have noticed, the teams that have shaken up their rosters after disappointing showings are getting some noticeable improvements. Italy should have won today with their reworked lineup, and the Czechs played noticeable better when they took Koller off the front line.

Netherlands look tough to beat, they ball like the Phoenix Suns.

It's never too late to become a member of the Barbados National Team.

Still, no team has won back-to-back Euro Cups. I am just happy that the Greek goalie wasn't playing for Colombia.

Greece is eliminated. Russia needs to come up huge against Sweden. For the Swedes, at least David Villa isn't Russian.

Thought about writing them an email to see how hard it is to naturalize, but didn't want to put in the effort. Or I could just marry a barbadian chick and that would probably be easier...

funny thing is i picked a tie for Romania in both games. You can edit your picks until the games start.

Pigpen........ROberto Donadoni screwed himself by picking such an old squad to take to the tourney. I think they entire first 11 for the Holland game was over 30. and that doesnt include Cannavaro who was injured prior or Del Piero who was on the bench. sounds like its his fault.

TheBearcatHimself.....Tony Meola played in the 94 World Cup for the US. Keller played in 98 then backed up Friedel in 02 and started again in 06. I think we're in good hands there with Tim Howard, though.

Timbalaned.....methinks that marrying a Barbados girl (I think they're called Bajans like we're called Americans) would be striking gold by itself. They've got some fine girls down there. Ever seen some of them track girls or bikini models?
peace.

Yes, and Zlatan got another one and my russian goalie had a clean sheet, so that brings me to 15,000th place...how'd you do jessexy?

As I was thinking, it would be a win win situation. Get a dime for a wife and I could try my hand at international football :P

well, in the game pick 'em. i missed both games yesterday, but i'm still doing okay with a ranking of #529. These games are hard to pick becuase you dont know which team is really going to try hard ....like Portugal and Swiss. Portugal was already through and strated like 8 different players and the Swiss were out but still pushed to get a win at home.

i have no idea about Poland v. Croatia today but i picked Croatia and Germany.

I didnt have a great day in the Fantasy Challenge cuz i had Cech and Jankulovsky and they lost. I do have Torres, Zlatan, Ruud, Ronaldo, Frbregas, Sneijder, Gio, etc. I'm ranked #2198 currently.

I have to applaud Czech for continuing to go after goals after they were up 2-0. They had to cuz Turkey was pushing so hard for the win and itthey ended up getting it. great game. Nobody can complain about boring soccer in this tournament.
peace.
