PNCLL ALL STARS!........?

Postby woulax23 on Thu Jun 05, 2008 5:31 pm

I know we go through this same discussion every year and things have happened in the past, but there has been no talk about it this year and I need more forum talk in my life. Any rumors of the first teamers/all star worthy players taking a team to any tournaments this summer? Dr. Stockton....... Senor Bergeren..... Mr Wishengrad......? Is there any behind-the-scenes talk about this happening or was there just too much going on this year and you are all in need of a break?

If such a team does exist in the near future. I would like to invite the team to come to the Annual Brawl in McCall Lacrosse Tournament here in Idaho.

This will be about the 5th Annual tournament, myself, head coach Brian Sanderson and ILA President Ken Williams have taken over organizing the tournament, with plans of making this one another great summer for lacrosse.

McCall is the resort town 2hrs norht of Boise, along Payette Lake sorrounded by mountains, camp grounds and so much more.

The tournament has a basic website set up, thanks to Brian Sanderson http://www.mccall.laxeyed.org/ the dates are listed on the site. This is more of a Men's league style of tournament but not limited to just mens teams. So pretty much everyone is welcome.

Just a thought if any such PNCLL All Stars team is interested.

In case McCall needs any hyping up, it is probably one of the coolest vacation spots I've been to in the Northwest, Payette lake is beautiful and great for boating and jet skiing!

If anyone is interested in playing or forming a team, I am certainly down to help organize/play. I can probably get a couple of my guys to play too, and our goalie is psycho (or stupid?) and will play goalie anytime.

Also, on this note, I know from old pictures circa 2003 that PNCLL All Star Jerseys existed at one point, are those hanging around in Berggren or Stockton's basement???? Or were they donated to the players as keepsakes? If we got those jerseys that would be pretty sweet and would save some administrative costs...

I actually have 2 of the jerseys, they were keepsakes. I believe LaxWorld donated them the year we played at SeaHawks stadium, I think they ended up being paid for out of the PNCLL the year before.... That's why they were always random colors.

I'm out for putting a team together this year, far too much going on, but I'd be surprised if I didn't get involved next season. At this point, there's probably enough interest to do a PNCLL Alum team as well (or 2), maybe even host our own tournament in the future....
