The plot thickens...
Peachtree Ridge and Collins Hill will be first. With those two schools...North Gwinnett is sure to add lacrosse. Brookwood and Grayson are also planning it. With them comes Parkview and South Gwinnett.
That's a lot of athleticism...and that increases the demand for coaches.

Tri-Cities has listed a team every single Spring and they have yet to see the field one time.
Lacrosse in Washington County, Georgia. Never though I'd see that happening.
Allatoona is the brand new Cobb County High School in super NW Cobb County. They already have a web site:

Judging their NGLL teams..... Collins Hill and Peachtree Ridge should be pretty competitive next spring.

From the grapevine (ie parents in the areas)
Mill Creek (Hamilton Mill/Chateau Elan) are getting a team situated. They are heavily pushing a Gwinnett County youth league with feeders for all programs. That definitely sounds like the right approach.
Allatoona is the branch-off of Harrison High School.
Yeah I dunno what is up with Tri-Cities. Never thought lacrosse could get started in East Point.
Washington County...I don't even know how they picked it up. That should be interesting to learn about their program.

Washington County is out between Macon and Augusta. Guess they got wind of what the two Augusta high schools were doing and decided to plunge in, head first.
Is Mill Creek going to have a team by 2009? What about Norcross, Brookwood, Parkview?

Mill Creek (from what I hear from the parents) would add youth programs and go JV for a few years (like Decatur did). They have a TON of money to throw around there (might be time to start coaching Sonny ).
Brookwood is looking to do the same. I've been in contact with a parent from there about it.
Like I said:
(First School) -> (Schools that follow)
Grayson, Brookwood -> Parkview, South Gwinnett
Peachtree Ridge, Collins Hill -> Mill Creek, North Gwinnett
I am suprised we've seen nothing out of the east/west areas yet like Rockdale or Douglasville. Rockdale High School has a girls program...but no boys. I can't see Douglasville going...yet.
I'll have more info soon on Mill Creek.
Also, looks like Washington County is near Milledgeville...perhaps the club team there has sparked interest??

Washington County is where Sandersville is located, is pretty rural, and produces lots of Kaolin. Was a football powerhouse in the 1980s and 1990s (Takeo Spikes). Has the "House of Pain"
Great step for a non-metro public school to field a lacrosse team especially in an area that identifies itself as being middle-georgia.
I imagine aways games to the country could be quite an experience for the city boys
