Agreed.. but I would rather see Ronaldo crying in the last world cup against England than in this game. Go Man U!

Glory Glory Man UNIIIIIIIIITED as the REDs go marching ON ON ON!

Crazy game, United should have put it away in the first half and my god those two shots that hit the crossbar and post nearly gave me a heart attack. Drogba is an idiot, I still can't believe he tried to pull that stunt in extra time of a CL final.

Interesting that the first (Charity Shield) and last game of the season end with the same result...UNITED WINNING IN PKs!!!

Quite the finish today to the one soccer game I've watched this year. Terry missing the last kick was the equivalent of dropping the game-winning pass in the endzone while wide-open in the Super Bowl. I can't imagine what the tabloid headlines will be like tomorrow. The swing of wmotions must have been brutal and exhilirating, based on who you were cheering for. Fun stuff, but they need more scoring to catch my interest.

Great game. The head ball on the shot at the end was crazy. ManU aims two shots instead of just drilling them and keeps them alive.

Anyone catch the Russian soldiers with their shirts off and the fur hats?

The only way i can understand the dual yellow cards is the Scholes and Makelele had just got into it a few minutes before when Scholes came in over the ball on Essien (?). After the second collision, it was a clear professional foul by Scholes cuz Makelele is off to the races if he gets to that ball unimpeded. Scholes clearly took him out, with the cut on his nose coming accidentally after he initiated the contact. Only Scholes should've gotten the yellow.

Cech is unbelieveable. Those doubles saves that he made were fantastic. He saved Ronaldo's penalty off his face and didnt blink an eye. I have a feeling that Ronaldo's penalty wouldve been called back and re-taken if he'd scored cuz his momentum did stop on his run-up, and thats not allowed.

Drogba is the man. Vidic and Ferdinand kicked and pulled and yanked and clobbered him all night long. I'm surprised Vidic didnt get a yellow earlier and Ferdinand almost gave away a penalty kick to Lampard. but Drogba did something stupid and got busted for it. Tevez started that whole ruckus and the whole thing was pretty stupid. both teams were cramping and trying to take care of their players (after 117 minutes, for petes sake!) and he was antagonizing the entire Chelsea team.

I thought the wrong team won and that Chelsea deserved it. Imagine if that was Drogba was taking that PK instead of Anelka. and John Terry slipping on his plant foot was tragic.
peace.

They were two Man U fans with their shirts off. They gave their jerseys to the Russian soldiers and the soldiers let the Man U fans wear the hats! Classic English soccer fans...

I don't think Chelsea outright deserved it. Manchester won the first half and Chelsea won the second, both created chances in extra time. If United had finished off one of their other chances in the first half that game would have been over long before Lampard scored the equalizer.

Drogba hit one off the post in the second half that i dont know how he even got his foot around the ball from that angle. another went off the crossbar.
peace.

That Drogba shot was ridiculous and Lampard should have scored, but so should've Giggs when Terry headed off the line... It's all moot now

Cech was amazing in PKs. If ManU hadn't placed two shots perfectly he would have made the saves and won the game because he got a great jump on the ball both times that Manchester put it high corner.

oh John Terry ... I just finished singing his praises when he stepped up and choked

Beckham's 60-yarder from Saturday night vs. the Wiz:

Similar to this one from his Man U days (you know the pre-tat era):

why on earth would the Champions League agree to have their final, one of the biggest matches in the world, played on a newly installed grass surface? The roots hadn't even taken by game time. Just an absurd decision. Terry's PK miss was 1/3 surface, 1/3 rain, 1/3 his own fault.

Games already started a few days ago, but who's your horse for Euro 2008? I got Spain going all the way on the back of El Nino.
