I'll be bold and try to attempt a thread on tomorrow's match up...

Congrats and best of luck to both sides...seems this is the match-up we've been destined for this year. Should be a great one.

So if I were coaching these teams going into tomorrow, here is what I'd say after watching the games tonight:

Michigan: This team has high marks for lacrosse intelligents. They don't seem to get nervous with they see a double team or a trap - and just like against BYU tomorrow they are going to see bodies flying all over the place trying to catch them in a bad situation. They will need to stay out of these bad situations and avoid vunerable situations to win again. The first battle will be at the face-off X. Like tonight, if they can force Chapman to bring in a long pole, than they have a true advantage. I'd tell the wings to get ready for some physical play. The second battle will be on defense. I'd put Michigan's short poles against the main men of Chapman. That would mean my second and third slide would be long poles. With Chapman's great outside shooters, I'd like to make sure I was getting some contact with their hands. And finally, I'd tell my goalie to stay on the pipe - he did all night tonight which is good because Chapman took lots of low angle shots and scored against ASU.

Chapman - Love the run & gun and the hair is straight out of Cuse's playbook. I'd tell them we have to beat the Michigan ride. Its a ten man, so I'd start all my top 4 at the restraining box on a clear, and then bump them back if the 10 man is off. If its on, cut the open man to the ball, and run it over. Then I'd tell them they have to play man 2 man defense at the guys hip. They all make contact at the shoulders and against the ASU big guys they got overpowered. If they make that same contact against Michigan, I'd say they are in for lots of penalties and time in the box, because there will be alot of high hits or pushes. They need to get their hands on Michigan's hips to beat them. Specifically, don't let their middies sweep - too fast, too much angle, too much accuracy - so force them down the wing. Finally, they'll face a zone and a defense that makes you make the extra pass. Make the smart extra pass, don't get fancy, everyone curl to the ball, and finish.

Maybe I'll throw out some more, but just off the top of my head...

My vote is for Michigan to lose!

Just like with The Pats in the SuperBowl Ive gotta pull for the underdog.

These Games are going to be for sale on dvd arent they?

I'm pulling for JP to get the monkey off his back and bring home his first championship. That would be the first one not won by a WCLL or RMLC team.

I really don't think Chapman is the underdog or the "overdog" (stealing one from Bobby Knight). Keep in mind that both of these teams are undefeated in MCLA play. I think they'll both expect to win and one of them will be stunned if they don't.

Congrats to both Michigan and Chapman, i'm sure today's game is going to be exciting.

I havent heard anything about the turnout at Texas Stadium...was it too big a venue? Did the field work well? How many people turned out for the semis?

Really cool to be IN Texas Stadium, but there were not many fans for such a huge venue and it didn't sound "loud" even in the middle of some phenominal games. Not to rag on the Cowboys, but the stadium is pretty shoddy and in disrepair. Thankfully that will change when the new one is built.
