Edina over Breck 11 to 10
Blake over Kennedy
Jefferson over Minneapolis
Maple Grove over Cooper
Minnetonka over Hopkins

That's what I got so far.

Anyone know Benilde vs. Holy Angels?

MBSLA Unofficial

Saint Paul - 13
Forest Lake - 3

I'm told the Forest Lake squad exhibited exemplary sportsmanship throughout the game, and especially after it.

Yea rah Forest Lake!

In general, it seems that the games have been much more competitive this year, both in the regular season and the playoffs. AFAICT, there has been only one playoff game that has gone to running time so far, and even that one looks like it wasn't in running time for long.

(The NFHS mercy rule is that the game is running time while one team leads by 12 or more in the second half.)

White Bear Lake's ability to remain sharp despite a couple years of smacking around significantly lesser competition speaks well of the staff there. I suspect that their competitiveness will only improve as they advance in the playoffs and adjust to the speed and skill of better teams.

Having seen them and most of the competition at work, they have as good a chance to carry the section as Mounds View or Centennial. The only question marks as far as I could see would be faceoffs and possibly penalties.

The correct score was AHA 8 BSM 7. Great game played by both teams. Good luck to AHA.

Edited in my post CM. It's reported correctly in the results section, incorrectly in the section bracket (where I was looking) on the MSHSL site.

No doubt Eastview is legit this year (and every year). They're 5 lines deep at every position and it's hard to compete with that.

I was happy with how my kids performed... we've continued to improve steadily all year, which bodes well for our future. Congrats to Eastview on a deserving win, and best of luck throughout the playoffs.
