For those of you wondering . . . the pick'em contest will be on again this year.
I will have the selection process open shortly after the announcement of seedings and the tournament bracket.
Last year we had 423 entries in Division A and 156 in Division B, plus a few of you entered the NCAA DI contest. Can we break those numbers now that it's Division 1 & 2?
The results of last year's pick'em are available at the following link: http://www.laxshopper.com/bracket/2007/
The point system will be the same as last year, unless anyone has strong objections. It's hard to argue with last year's A winner, he/she chose every game correctly. What are the odds for that this year?
Prizes are up to you. LaxShopper.com is raking in more than ever for me, but still not enough to put the new roof on my house that my wife and I could dearly use, so feel free to offer up prizes for the winners.

I would like to offer up Brauck's ankle air cast. The ladies love it. Especially the Dallas beezys.
Very quality post. I wouldn't be suprised to hear that Brauck does not want to let go of it however because it works on beezys world-wide

Not to tilt your selections, but a few interesting things so far in the picks already posted:
In MCLA-1, two games are tilting towards upsets, the championship away from #1 Michigan and quarter final away from #3 Minnesota-Duluth.
In MCLA-2, a majority of pickers predict an upset of #1 Westminster and the only other upset predicted is that of #8 Western Oregon in the first round, though the numbers for the quarter final between #5 Dayton and #4 SJU are very close.
In NCAA DI the trend of an upset in the final is gone, but there is an overwhelming one predicted in the #4 UNC vs #5 JHU quarter final and in the #2 UVA vs #3 Syracuse Semifinal as well.
Keep the picks coming.

Actually it was a quality boot, not an air cast, but a step above. And unfortunately I had to return it last year at the end of the tournament, even though it would be a fitting reward to the winner.

The simple answer is "No". I will sift through the entries and remove any duplicates and ask that if when the standings get posted anyone notices cheaters that they bring it to my attention.jessexy wrote:can we have more than one entry???
Any submission on Tuesday following 1pm CTL for Div 2 and 4pm CTL for Div 1 will be removed.
We're up to 313 entries.

The results of the first games of the NCAA tournament are starting to come in, you can keep an eye on the standings, view people's selections at http://www.laxshopper.com/cgi-bin/brack ... w=rankings
after two games
BigHeadTodd's day long affair away from actual work has payed off so far, only 1 point away from perfect.
The person who registered as Pinball needs a comeback, currently in 70th place.
Yeah, I got the picks right, but the scores way off.
