As I have said in other threads, I am currently working on a Tournament Bid Application Packet. It should be available for download on GRLC.US early next week.

VERY UNLIKELY! I mean as much as i would kill to play in our memorial stadium, in my opinion the best looking stadium in the Big XII, the athletic department would laugh in our face if we even asked. It would be more feasible to wait for the apocalypse.

Gay Field
Good idea about Gay Field. However, there are limiting concerns with that facility:
1. The neighborhood residents have had problems with the lights on Gay Field being on late into the night. As an example, our Division 2 championship game had to be played on Saturday night at 9:45pm due to Dordt's inability to play on Sundays. This would have been prohibited at Gay.
2. Parking. Gay Field does not have ample parking and would be problematic to park coach buses there, much less normal parking for spectators.
Don't get me wrong, it's a great facility in and of itself. However, those specific issues would give me cause to say no.

While everyone is throwing ideas out there, people also need to remember that you need a good tournament director and/or local staff that will help out a bunch.
A lot of work goes into getting a tournament running, not saying it is impossible, but for every "perfect" site for a tournament, you need people behind the tournament making sure it runs smoothly.

and BTW, some of our conference dues are already going towards funding refs for the tourny, I'm not sure how much.
The deal is Lindenwood basically puts on the whole weekend for free. So there is a huge convenience having it there.
I wonder how much our conference dues go towards paying for the conf. tourny
