PNCLL 2008 All-Conference
I was not whining about Oregon's lack of accolades, I'm very proud of everyone that got one. I'm just saying a low ppg is not a fair justification on why no Oregon middies were nominated. I agree with Mr. Hoskins that if the awards are given to the most important players on their respective teams the awards were very well chosen and Oregon was very well represented.

Well said and very classy too, Will. Nothing at all wrong in my book for standing up for your bros! I'm sure you guys will be back strong next year if your '08 season is, in fact, now done. Peace out and enjoy your summer.

Wow. Where to begin... Where to do I begin with this comment...

Correction:In addition to the 4 first-team All-PNCLL certificates earned by the Wolves (more than any other team). . . Ian Bohince of WOU won the Final Four MVP award. . .

I just want to clarify that the mentioned post does not reflect the views of all current WOU players. We are all very happy with all the accolades we have received. We are also very proud for Ian for what he did for us all weekend. He defiantly deserved everything he received.

Being there in person, it seemed like every other award was for a WOU player. I think half their team got awards... In fact, 9 of their 16 players got awards. 10 if you count Bohince's tourney MVP. Reminds me of the old Coffman message board all-star teams... Or maybe I should say all-Duck teams

Cody was fantastic this weekend, and if WWU pulls out the victory in OT, He and Extine would have been the favorites for tourney MVP.
After watching Cody over the weekend, you are absolutely correct. . .he is certainly worthy of All-Conference honors. . .I'm glad he has another year to show all of the coaches (the voters) that he belongs near the top of any all-conference list.

Stephen I highly doubt that anyone believed that my statement was the statement for the team, and hey every year there is controversy, just thought I would stir the pot a little bit. Congrats to all players, who recieved any accolades, obviously there is a lot of good lax being played out here. Congrats to Cal on recieving the highest honors of any WOU attackman to date. And Nick As far as losing me goes, I honestly felt like they were better without me, I demand the ball to much, play terrible defense and am only good for one thing, goal scoring. When I left they developed into a team, and Kyle got the oppurtunity to become the player we always knew he could be. Also WWU, props to giving them all they could handle in the champ game, after watching the film you guys were twice the team that day, that you were during the first meeting.

Interesting factoid:
Doing some lacrosse related web browsing, I found myself at DII Notre Dame de Namur's website curious to see how Coach Kerwin has been doing. He's put in an impressive first season.
My post isn't about that, however. Going through Notre Dame's roster, I noticed an attackman - Cam Foss from Canada, and this piqued my interest as we're all familiar with All-conference attackman Adam Foss. I checked out SFU's website and sure enough, the two attackmen are brothers.
I found it ironic and a huge twist of fate that a former Oregon head coach is now mentoring a member of the hated Clan family. Looks like the UO/SFU rivalry stretches everywhere. Anyone else find this amusing? Or do I just have too much time on my hands?

I think Schuit is the traditional pick, but I thought Bludorn added more to their team.
An exact quote from me earlier in this thread...sometimes I feel so unappreciated...
And since you probably are Cody Bludorn, I appreciate what you bring to your team on the field.

Just wanted to say congrats
I just wanted to say congratulations to all who made all conferance this year, especially DII HM James Tupper from PLU. We at North County Lacrosse are very proud to call you an alum from our three year old program. I am especially proud of your accomplishments over the past three years because I remember when you first started playing lacrosse in the spring of 2006...you weren't that good...LOL but you stuck with it, stayed after practice, worked very hard and now look what your dedication to the sport you love has gotten you!
for all lacrosse players I am sure that your dedication has done the same for all of you and keep loving the sport we all love!

I find ironic as well, but I guess that is how it goes. Joe actually called me after the game during the regular season cause they were on the road and Cam and he wanted to know how the game went. Needless to say, Cam was a little bit more pleased with the results.

Will, I am pretty sure that the recent award of coach of the year should make you feel very appreciated! P.S. I am glad I made that call after our game this season.... I believe the chant from our sideline after the game went something like "coach of the year! coach of the year!" and continued for a couple minutes . By the way I have your sweet plaque sitting in my room, you should pm me with a time when we can meet up before I leave for dallas so I can give it to you.
