Does anyone know which teams will be playing at what time on the first and second days of the tournament?

MCLAchamptx.com has all of the first round games at 1:00 pm. Not sure if this is right.

This isn't correct.

The four D2 games all start at 1pm on Day One (next Tuesday). The top four D1 seeds (1 vs 16, 2 vs. 15, 3 vs. 14, 4 vs. 12) play at 4pm. The remaining D1 games all start at 7pm. All times are Central Time Zone. 4 games at each time slot for Day One.

Then MCLACHAMPTX.com is correct. All four D2 games will start at 1 PM CT next Tuesday at Ross Stewart.

I expressed this view a few years ago, but I'll throw it out again.

I would love to see the tournament game times staggered to allow a fan of lacrosse to roam the facility and potentially watch the last 30-45 minutes of every game throughout the first few days. How cool would that be?

Possible game times: 12:00 PM, 12:45 PM, 1:30 PM, 2:15 PM, 3:00 PM, 3:45 PM, 4:30 PM, 5:15 PM, 6:00 PM, 6:45 PM, 7:30 PM, 8:15 PM

As it is right now with four fields and games at 1, 4, and 7 there is no game action going on for 2 prime hours of the gameday while there is a total of 24 hours of action during 6 hours.

I think it's a great idea, however I would bet that you have to start dealing with paying for extra man hours to patrol the fields working the whole event. There are ticket takers, concessioners, administrative staff etc. The actual ref times would not increase, just move, but the overall support staff would be stretched rather dramatically. Not to mention the affect on D1 game times.

I love the idea, I'm just not sure how feasible it is when operating on a tight budget.

I doubt there would be much in the way of extra expense there. . .the cost of ticket takers and concessioners is infinitely small relative to the cost of the event. An extra hour or two for a few minimum wage employees is relatively insignificant.

I agree with Andy that this is a great idea. We did it this year for the PNCLL Final Four and fans were able to see the completion of every game on Saturday.

As stated above, the support staff would be stretched very thin. The days out in the Texas heat are already long enough.

Some interesting scores today.

Southwestern really surprised me how well they handled Fort Lewis, I thought Fort Lewis was a darkhorse to make some noise. Southwestern could make some noise themselves now against Grand Valley.

The loss by Fort Lewis could, I repeat could make the RMLC teams look a hair weaker than we all thought, we will see how Westminster does against a very impressive Western Oregon team.

Elon handled Framingham as expected, should be a great game with St. Thomas. And St. John's is the higher seed but will get a chance for revenge for the regular season lost to Dayton, who seemed to have trouble putting away the Banana Slugs. Not sure how many people picked the Slugs to be in the game in the second half, but the Flyers got the W.

Great first round games, can't wait to see how things continue to shake out!!

Big game to watch will be the UST vs Elon game.

And St. John's is the higher seed but will get a chance for revenge for the regular season lost to Dayton, who seemed to have trouble putting away the Banana Slugs.

It is also a rematch of last years game where Dayton pulled the upset against UST the day before but came out slow vs SJU and lost big. I do not think that will happen this year as each team has seen each other and I am sure have a proper scouting report and feel for the other team. My guess is a close game with SJU coming out on top 15-11.

UST will have no problem with Elon. When they were down there the in the spring, they came with no practice and UMBC transfer Joe Costello was still figuring things out. I expect a big day out of him along with Senior Dave Hildebrand at D. i say ust 16 elon 9.
