I can't handle the calls of "illegal check" and "dangerous shot". I get all pissed off and want to leave when I am just watching, don't even know what I would do as a coach. I am sure I would be ejected for more than half the games.

When I was coaching the women at PLU (Jana might have been the official on the game), I got a yellow card 5 minutes into the first game I coached and was told by the ref that I wasn't allowed to talk to her - it "wasn't in the spirit of the game". . .Telling a ref that her call was brutal did not earn me points in the women's lacrosse world.
Eventually I matured

I've carded far worse coaching behavior than what I've seen from the good doctor. Still, he has strong opinions, men's and women's game, and he sure isn't hesitant to express himself on any matter (lax or otherwise).
I officiate between 60-70 games every season between HS, Collegiate and Post Collegiate Club games so they all blend together after a while. But I think this is going to be my last year, the knees are not doing well and the shin splints are really bad this season.
Think of it this way - the women's game is going for the highest expectations of coaching behavior, rather than the lowest common denominator of heckling behavior that you see in the NBA from fans and coaches. Also, things like shooting space and dangerous shot (where the ball hits a field player's body), are set up to protect players who have no padding except for mouth guards and eye goggles.
If you guys played all your games without pads, helmets and (shock) cups, then I think the rules might be different (and / or the liability coverage would dictate rules that minimized injuries).
