2008 Lax World MCLA Division 2 Top 25 Poll (4/30/08) is out!
So if Western Oregon and UPS can meet up in the finals and UPS pulls of the "upset" does that mean Western falls too far to get an at large, or will the PNCLL send two teams?

With all of the teams that are in the race for AL's I would think that the PNCLL is only sending one team with their AQ.

i don't think the pncll is strong enough to send two teams this year.

not saying it is right or wrong, but it probably has to do with the fact that we beat then # 9 ranked WWU in our first game of the season by 10 goals, pretty sure SOU was top 25 when we beat them, Pepperdine was ranked top 25 when we played them, we beat # 13 UPS, plus we played Cal State-Fullerton to a similar margin as Ft. Lewis and we beat WWU by the exact same margin as Mt. State. I am not sure if PLU was top 25 when we beat them, but I do know that they were receiving votes. I think the biggest things holding us back this season are our loss to #21 central washington and the fact that our OOC trip got kind of screwed up.
The true test of a player's character is not how he wins, but how he loses.

If you are going to complain about teams not belonging in the top 10...who would you have in there instead? Dont just whine, share your solution..... Who DESERVES to be ahead of FLC?

Not quite yet. WCLL AG is still to be decided.

seeds
Is it safe to say that the winner of the PCLL tournament will be the 12th seed in Dallas and the WCLL winner will be 11th seed? Assuming there are no major surprises this weekend.

Solution= UNC, Look at their strength of schedule compared to Ft. Lewis. Ft played no one of any importance besides an in conference Westminster game, UNC lost to Oregon and CU, a D1 team by 4, not to mention that UNC's in conference losses were all in overtime.

Are you saying this because you think they should be higher?? I think they totally deserve their ranking, if it weren't for all the extremely tough teams above them they would be higher. They are the class of the PNCLL by far which is a very strong conference. They will not disappoint at Nationals, but I guess if people keep underestimating them it will make it that much sweeter when they stomp teams.
They beat Whitman 26-4, and I believe Whitman should be in Top 25 because they beat lost to CWU by 1 in OT in regular season then beat CWU by 1 in OT last weekend. It's hard to come on here and complain about the D2 top 10 when there are a ton of quality teams.

Stemming off the discussion about teams showing up for nationals, is the idea to expand D2 playoffs to 16 dead? I understand there are many concerns with this idea based off the Calvin/UC Irvine debacle, but it is a shame that many quality teams will miss out this year.
I think you can make an argument that all the bubble teams deserve a shot, Fort Lewis, Emory, Elon, SCAD, Montana State, Puget Sound, Charlotte, Northern Colorado, UVSC, those are some big names and only one or two of those I mentioned will be going.
Will it take several years of responsible teams showing up to push it to 16??

Why stop there. Maybe we should invite every single Division 2 in the country to nationals?
