Yeah, I played in Border Wars 2001 (was that the first one?), coached by the great Dave Allen. We (Judge) were able to play Mullen, Grandview, and Overland. Great tourney. Is that still going on?

Yes, it was held this year, but the level of competition is not what it has been in the past. At least on the Colorado side, most of the "top tier" programs are traveling east playing on LI, in Baltimore or at the Disney complex in FL. We were also lucky enough to have St. I here in town last week for two games.
To my knowledge, no Top 10 team from CO was at the Border Wars this year.

You are correct! Most went east and played teams like Loyola Blakefield and a few played Georgetown Prep... Many played St. Pauls
What i found interesting is that the number one team (Kent Denver) didn't travel anywhere... atleast to my knowledge they didnt. St Ignatius from cali came to them
I think its crappy i never got to go to grand juntion and brother said it was a real good time

I know Nate Gardner of WX(#11) has verbally committed to BYU.
On another note, congrats to x1dschm and JRA, both of their teams have made it to the Semis of the D2 tourney.

Hey Tom, did Utah get an additional Academic All-American and regular All American this season? Also, will I be happy when the announcements are made?

Good Luck to the team you built so well you phased your self out. Hope to see you at the game. If you get some radios you and I can sit in the box and call plays down to the WX Coach.
Yes on the AAA! and I can't remember on the RAA

yeah, I think the All Americans are strong this year. WX had a good team todd, Nate was always a champ but I always told you that. unfortunately I have a kid that is phenomenal. the only Jr on all state attack and he was the MVP.
The best thing for next year!? playing on school grounds! thanks to Utah legislation.
