Any stick buffs out there?

hey guys my mom went into a goodwill in omaha and found a STX lax stick, its from what i can tell a pretty vintage stick. Im trying to ballpark when its from. Im thinking at least early 80's? Its an onset, no open sidewalls (so kinda like the high wall), the thing is the shaft isnt uniform the whole way up. aThe head is not triangular like the original Stx heads of the 60's. Its shaped similar to the ones in the 90's. Right before the head it turns from the octagonal shape to a circle and the screw used to join the head to the shaft is on the side. I thought this was interensting. The only sticks i have seen that is circular at the part joining the head was an old 1960's stick my old highschool coach had. So if there are any stick history buffs out there that can help me guestimate when this stick is from that would be awesome. Trying to build on my old gear collection.

Going to have to agree with Rob on this and go with 95% sure it's a Hi-Wall. They had special shafts that went from octagonal to circular at the top. Should have a small ridge on the outside of the sidewalls about halfway from the top & bottom running from the neck to the top of the stick. These were still being manufactured as late as '96, maybe '97

I had a laser lite in 86 that fits the description perfectly. Side-screw was perhaps the worst mount ever, always wallowed out the hole. Had to put a bolt through the entire head and shaft.

I looked up the patent number on the back of the highwall and it turns out it is a laser lite. Circa 86ish. Cool to find a 20 year old stick never used, and still with the original string job. This baby is joinin my others and my old bucket helmet on my wall at home. Thanks all for the help.
