Actually, it was 11-7. Gotta stand up for every goal my boys get, even in the losses!
For having so many quality players return from last year, I'll admit they looked a bit sloppy. I have no doubt that they're still just shaking off the rust and will be a big threat soon, especially with the balance they have on offense. It was only their first game, and it's taken us until halfway through our third game to finally get things together.

Nice rivalry win!
Looks like they might have already shaken off the rust!! Congrats to Josh and the Bengals for the pair of wins. Hope to see them again in the playoffs.

has anyone else noticed that some MBSLA schools are doing well v the MSHSL teams they've played?
Don't mis-understand - this is not a "which league is better" comment - I just think it is interesting that Blaine (maple grove I think) /St. Paul (mpls) and Andover (osseo) have beaten MSHSL teams and I don't recall that happening before - or am I mistaken?

Are the MBSLA teams allowed to start practice earlier than MSHSL? If so that may be a big advantage to them and may help explain some of the wins.

Just caught the fourth quarter of Jefferson's 100th win. Congratulations to Coach Cater and his team, what a wonderful accomplishment! Jefferson moved the ball very well from what I saw.
Burnsville looked young but has some really nice athletes. Coupled with a good coaching staff, their future looks bright. Their Junior goalie #5 made several saves, and threw three really nice outlet passes.

Jefferson's 100th win - well done Coach Cater! A UMLL alum leading the way in long-term success!
I echo what Adam noted - Burnsville has a strong coaching staff and great athletes - most of which are Frosh and Soph's. Give them 2 years and I'll be interested to see what happens with the Blaze. They are clearly building something.

Congratulations Coach Cater!
From Breck:
Breck 8
Totino-Grace 7 2OT
Breck scores 4 goals in the last 6 minutes of the 4th, then wins it in double overtime. A few tough injuries for Breck kept this game closer than it probably should have been (David Briggs at goalie, and Nathan Hunt at close-d). Both are expected to be back within two weeks.

Awesome game.
Congrats goes to Scott Cater on his 100th win!
In other news, Edina over AHA 16-5.
Anyone going to the Minnetonka vs. Blake game tonight?
