NFL Draft

Dolphins have apparently signed Michigan OL Jake Long with the first pick.... Guess Parcells wasn't bluffing.

thoughts on what happens from this point forward....

The Rams better take Dorsey. I'll be incredibly irritated if they go with Long or Golston. . .

I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that Ryan falls to the Ravens. I also noticed that, evidently, Washington was offering a 1st and 3rd pick to Cincy for Ocho Cinco, with the ability to make the 3rd into a 2nd if Chad had a big year. Cincy shot down the offer and like offers from Philly and Dallas. Wonder if they will end up moving him?

i recall Millen being a sideline reporter and attempting to become a NFL ref at one point... I wonder what gave him the background to be a GM

He was an analyst in the booth for a few years, and was one of those coach on the field type players when he played.

please take a receiver, I have heard rumors they might take Jonathan and I don't want his career ruined like they did Joey's.

being a bengals fan, yes I can admit it - if they trade Johnson, I will be upset.......but not upset enough to become a Browns fan....

If we can get a first and a third, i would do it, and let him go and really see what its like to not have a QB to get the ball to him in Washington...J.C. is ok, but he's not Carson....

In Vikings related news...they are still enamored with Jared Allen, and are hoping they can swing the deal with KC - they are the ones holding this up, not Allen, they have such a high demand, a first and first (next year) or a first and second this year...a bit to much if you ask me....

But its still more reliable than their normal draft patterns, only AD and Moss have really worked out in for the Vikings in the past couple of drafts...

Underwood, Williamson, McKennie (way overrated - and is really too busy trying to tear da club up), Greenway, James (never has played a down that matters) - the list goes on and on...

As a life-long Bronco fan, I'm preparing to be very disappointed this weekend. Heard they had Jonathan Stewart in this week. Last thing Denver needs is to spend a #1 on a running back.

I'm about to become a free-agent fan.

I thought about that a lot lately....

This is what we do...we put all the teams in a hat (for me I leave out the Packers and Raiders - two teams I despise) what you draw is what you are now a fan off.....

Ive simulated this at my office on slow days before....

Tampa Bay, Tennesse, Buffalo, and Seattle - I havent offically done it matter though, just testing....however one guy at the office, did draw the Cardinals about 2 years ago, and proceeded to take the rest of the day off out of frustration....guess purple wasnt so bad?!?!?!

as a fellow bronco fan i am going to have to disagree with you. the broncos need to get a solid running back and get rid of travis "cant put down the sticky icky" henry. stewart would be a GREAT back for our system. i would be stoked if we got him

It might be a smart pick at the time, but nothing is going to help them this year. There are some bigger demons in that organization right now than they let on... even with Travis 'I have 9 children with 5 women' Henry on the depth chart.

I'm a Skins fan and have been really hoping we could get Johnson. We need a WR over 5'4", but we also have a shot at snagging a top tier DE in the draft which is greatly needed.

I feel especially bad for Matt Ryan and Joe Flacco, though. These are mediocre QBs that would typically slip in a draft and end up on somewhat of a decent team. I guess you can't feel too bad about a guy making 1st round money though... except David Carr.

I don't think any back is going to be great until they put the o-line back together.

I actually like Flacco a lot. I don't think anyone is going to draft him to be a franchise QB and that will allow him time to learn.

I don't want the Skins to trade another pick for a guy like Johnson. I'd rather they actually use some picks and build a young team. They need a lot more help than just WR.

So true. I have seen the Skins piss away picks for unproven, over the hill or overrated vets since Danny Boy bought the team. They were finally gonna do it right, bring in a young coach, young talent, build through the draft. But, it seems that Lil Dan just couldn't help but try to bring in another locker room wreckin ego (Chad Johnson)... guess misery loves company.

I think Palmer is one of the most underrated QBs in the show. He gets no help on defense at all and is forced to try and out score teams.

What ever happened to Marvin Lewis the Defensive Guru?
