USC 13 UCLA 12

Lot's of fans...nothing like this rivalry! UCLA went up by 4 in the 3rd the Bruins has their chances to pull away, but the Trojan goal keep came up huge. USC clawed back to tie and then after a few exchanges the Trojans went up 2. UCLA came back to tie the game several times.
Bruins called a timeout with the score tied at 12 with under 3 minutes to play and possessed for a while before a feed to the crease was disrupted. On the ensuing loose ball the Bruins gained the ground ball only to give it right back on an unlucky moving pick call (it was the correct call).
USC capitalized on a mixup on man assignment on the clear and a behind the back finish notched the game winner.
UCLA had a chance with Yip taking a rip low left that was stopped by the keeper.

Very exciting game that I feel was one of the best for the year for UCLA. It was great to have Liam Harris back on the field after breaking his leg in the first game of the season vs Chapman.

Good luck to the WCLL teams representing in the playoffs!

Nevada - 14
SJSU - 5

Nothing too exciting... Nevada possesed well against an very short SJSU bench, and a few players who picked up sticks in January saw some good PT.
Falsehoods are well-told, so think for yourself...

Quick little write up on our game vs. Whittier.

Chapman came out pretty fast in the first, as was mentioned in an above post. Whittier put some goals together in the 2nd to pull within 3 or 4, but after that Chapman was able to run away. Very physical/hard hitting game. In talking with some alums, I believe this is the first time Chapman has beaten Whittier in some 20 years.

Side note, this probably played a role (small or large, I am not sure), in the outcome of the game. Whittier's starting goalie was in and out of the game, with the back up playing most of the game. From what I heard he hurt his knee (ACL I think) in a previous game. It should be noted that the kid is a warrior. Every time he went to make a save I would cringe, as he would fall and struggle to get up. He tried and tried to help his team, but his knee would not allow it. Still, even hurt, the kid made some remarkable saves. Guys got heart.
