Anyone want to break down who has the best shot of making D2? The south i believe will be Dayton and the winner of Taylor - Grove City game.
If GVSU goes undefeated in the Conference and takes the 1 seed, i believe no matter who wins of those two above, GVSU will play the late game since most likely Calvin would get that 2 seed and is closer to Saline by a good half hour.
It is looking like Dayton vs Calvin (rematch of the championship last year) and GVSU vs Taylor/Grove City.
Anyone know when the Grove city/RHIT game is supposed to be played since it was cancelled and also why the Taylor/Ball state is listed as a conference game when ball state is D1?

Grove City will be playing Taylor and RHIT on April 26th. A big day in the CCLA, so teams will not be decided from the south until late.
As far as the late game goes on Friday, the furthest travel is going to go likely to the #2 seed from the South. I believe both Taylor and Grove City are significantly further from Saline than are any of the other potential teams. SO it will likely be the #1 North Vs. #2 South in the late game

The game order for Friday is determined by the single team who has the furthest drive. Them and whoever they match up against play the late game Friday night.
Going from those contenders highlighted above, here are the teams by division from furthest to closest.
For Div II:
No matter if Grove City or Taylor capture the #2 South spot they will play Grand Valley in the late game. Calvin vs Dayton is the early game.
Grove City is 258 miles
Upland is 214 miles
Dayton is 193 miles
Allendale is 167 miles
Grand Rapids is 144 miles
For Div I:
If WVU or Purdue win the #3 seed they play the late game vs. Michigan State. If Miami of OH wins the #3 seed they play the early game vs Michigan State. The #2 Pittsburgh vs #3 CMU game is determined by the #3 south seed, the game is early if WVU or Purdue win and late if Miami wins.
Morgantown is 350 miles
West Lafayette is 304 miles
Pittsburgh is 283 miles
Oxford is 236 miles
Mount Pleasant is 142 miles
East Lansing is 76 miles
In Div I the order in which the top seeds play their games on Saturday is set up so that the team that wins the early quarter-final game Friday plays the early semi-final game Saturday. This is to prevent a team from playing the late game Friday night and the early game Saturday. #2S/#3N winner still plays the #1N team and #2N/#3S winner plays the #1S team.
Hope this explains things and can serve as a reference for those plotting future game times. Plan ahead for both early and late time slots, who knows when an upset could take place as the regular season ends.

Div B North Seeds Final
With a 20-13 win over Hope, Calvin secured the #2 North Seed, with GVSU all but locking up the #1 North Seed, requiring a win against Hope or Ferris State to edge Calvin.
The Div 2 South has Dayton as #1 and a 4/26 game to determine the #2 seed between Taylor and Grove City. GCC also needs to play RHIT.
So, Calvin will take on Dayton in the early game on 5/2 and Grand Valley will take on the Taylor/Grove City winner in the late game.

Unless my math is off, Miami should still be eligible if both Purdue and West Viginia lose out and Miami beats West Virginia.
Purdue would have only 1 win, West Virginia and Miami 2, with Miami holding the tie breaker over West Virginia.

You are correct. My mistake. I had marked them as eliminated when I thought Indiana was eligible for the playoffs, forgot to go back and double check my math after I was corrected. I fixed the post above, although might be a moot point depending on the results from the weekend. Anyone have any updates on the games from the weekend? Purdue, Buffalo, Indiana, and WV have all played already this weekend...

Has a decision been made concerning the Purdue-Ball State game and its implications on the last South tournament spot? Will it be tossed out for Miami and West Virginia?

id have to imagine no decisions will be made unless it becomes an issue. if wv beats miami, its a non-issue, or if purdue somehow reschedules their game vs ball st. no sense in doing more work then needed. who knows though.
