OK.... I got iced into my house over the weekend. I rented some movies from Blockbuster and finally got around to watching Napoleon Dynamite.
That was a waste of time. Another hour and half of my life that I won't get back. I guess I don't have any num-chuck skills caused I thought that movie was horrible.

Why do you love me? Why do you need me? Always and forever... We met in a chatroom, now our love can fully bloom... Sure the world wide web is great, but you, you make my salivate... I love technology, but not as much as you, you see... But I STILL love technology... Always and forever. Our love is like a flock of doves, flying up to heaven above... always and forever, always and forever... Why do you need me? Why do you love me? Always and forever...

Yes, it is one of the dumbest movies I have ever watched with no true plot and horrible acting. But that is what made it so great. Come on to a college campus any weekend and kids will be spouting out lines from the movie. Some of the best one liners ever in a movie. Maybe not a movie for the "older" folks but most "younger" folks thought it was hilarious. Now how much do you want to bet that i can throw this football over the mountains

Sonny, I don't consider myself old either, but that movie had me rolling. I laughed even harder the second time when I watched it with a friend. I have heard from a few people that didn’t get it and I told them to watch it again.

funnier the second time you see it because the first time you are watching, waiting for something to happen and the second time you are just enjoying the dialogue. It was ok, doesn't hold a candle to super troopers as all time favorite college cult movie.

I've got pretty luke-warm feelings about Napolean Dynamite. I got a couple of really good laughs out of it, but I didn't think it was nearly as good as some of my buddies told me it would be. I might have to rent it again. It could be like Super Troopers. I hated that movie the first time I saw it. The only good laugh I got was "License and registration chicken . . ." The second and third times through, I laughed a lot more.
