Eastern Giants toughen up Breck Lacrosse-
Breck's boys' lacrosse team was just able to get in its spring break trip to Florida before American Trans Air filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and ceased all flights earlier this month. The Mustangs, though, couldn't dodge the other teams at Disney's Wide World of Sports Lacrosse Spring Training Festival....

Breck had a lot of shots but they had a heard time getting quality shots. Most where form the outside. Both goalies seemed to play well. Breck had some decent possesions which helped them out.

Blake seemed to be the better team but they werent able to have it show up on scoreboard.

1st game of season in 30degree temps. Probably see a decent amount of change from all teams as the season continues.

Missed the 4th. I left after the 3rd it was ... not warm lets say.

There was a nice snow/rain mixture that came in the start of the fourth. Really added to the atmosphere. :)

Sounds like Minneapolis vs. Hill Murray is still going to happen at 430 at Southwest.

I might try to get out of work early and shiver with them for a while.

Anyone know about the Jefferson/Eagan game allegedly at 6pm at Hopkins?

This weather reminds me of the 2002 UMLL playoffs at Roseville. Saturdays games were engulfed with ~30degrees and sideways sleet. Sundays game was moved to the Stillwater dome if I recall correctly.

I remember that! There were multiple games scheduled Sunday; the championship was moved to the dome, but the other ones were just canceled.

I have good memories of that weekend. St. John's earned their first victory in about 20 games by defeating Bethel in overtime in a blinding snow storm.

Ridiculous.

The UMLL championship weekend is either beautiful weather or just straight garbage weather.

Mother nature hates midwest lacrosse. We can never catch a break. I love the midwest but I have no idea why! We don't even get a fall or spring anymore, it's either 100 degrees and muggy or cold as hell and snowing.

Gotta love it.
