UCLA vs LMU at LMU 5:00pm: LMU can't fall asleep during any of their conference games this week if they want a chance at WCLL's and Nationals. I don't see that happening in this game.

Sonoma vs UC Davis at Davis 7:00pm: Game decides the North

Chapman vs UCSB at Santa Barbara 3:00pm: Easily they best game of the week. A rivalry that has flared up in recent years. Chapman has been blowing out teams all year, but they have yet to face a defense as well coached as UCSB's. This is going to be a great game. If only I could be there. Note the time change from 1PM to 3PM.

Cal Poly vs Stanford at Stanford 1:00pm: Going to be a great battle for the central. Cal Poly has not played many divisional games yet. They really need this win to secure a playoff spot and possibly a final four spot.

Claremont vs LMU at LMU 1:00pm: As stated above, LMU can't fall asleep. They need this win so the game against the Gauchos in two weeks will mean something.

Oregon vs Sonoma at SSU 12:00pm: I would probably have picked Oregon, but both teams have a lot to prove after some bad losses last weekend. Oregon would win if they were at home, but Sonoma will win this game since they are playing at home.

Don't know if we have ever won down there. Hope that streak can change. the Ducks need it this week. GO DUCKS!

UCLA vs Loyola Marymount --- This will be a good start to LMU's final stretch run in their division. LMU can't afford to overlook the Bruins. LMU wins big.

USC vs Claremont --- I just don't think the Trojan defense can handle Claremont's offensive prowess. USC has a lot to look forward to next year though and hopefully they can turn things around, as a great deal of their weapons are returning young talent , including #11 Avery.

Sonoma vs UC Davis --- SSU goes undefeated in their division, yet again.

UC Santa Cruz vs UCLA --- UCSC looks good and I wouldn't be surprised if they win, but I'm a little hesitant at trusting div.2 talent. I'm giving it to the Bruins who earn their 3rd victory of their 2008 campaign.

USC vs Fullerton --- The trojans pull out a much needed win, a moral one at best.

Chapman vs UC Santa Barbara --- Ravaging Beast put it best, this is without a doubt the game of the week. UCSB proved a great deal to me last week that they can both a) score in bunches when needed to, and b) hold a high scoring offense to single digits. They will need to draw on both of these abilities if they are to pull off the upset over the titans of the wcll, chapman. The panthers have never matched up against a defense quite as talented as the gauchos, but i just can't see them being held below 10 goals. Chapman over UCSB.

Cal Poly vs Stanford --- Should be an interesting divisional match-up with both teams having something to prove, more-so Stanford. With a win stanford could put an exclamation point to a break out season. Plus it would give them great momentum going into their rivalry game with Cal next weak.

Claremont vs Loyola Marymount --- As long as LMU plays smart, they'll pull out the win.

Oregon vs California --- If this were pac-10 water polo, I'd give it to the Golden Bears of Cal. But unfortunately, it's lacrosse. Ducks win.

San Diego State vs UC San Diego --- This cross-town rivalry game has proven to be a close one the past couple of years. Unfortunately for the boys from La Jolla, that trend ends this year. The Aztecs appear to have found some rhythm on offense. With exception to ASU, the WCLL South is super tight this year and there could easily be a 3-way tie at the conclusion of the regular season for that all important second place spot.

Arizona State vs San Diego --- yup

LMU 12 UCLA 6

Crazy goal in the 3rd....as UCLA was trying to clear, the middie's stick was checked when he was about to make a cross-field pass. The ball freakishly rolled into the open net. I think he was close to the midline when this happened!

I think the Bruins got to within 4 in the second half, but could not recover from what was a 5-0 second quarter run by the Lions.

Good luck to LMU the rest of the way...dig the unis btw.

Sonoma 13 Davis 8
Davis jumped out 2-0 in the first, then the Cossacks woke up and never looked back. all but 3 or 4 of Sonoma's goals were within 3 yards of the crease, and the shooters never had to pick themselves up off the ground.

They'll always be the Cossacks, Just as St Johns will always be the Redmen, and Hofstra will always be the Dutchmen.

http://mcla.us/game.cfm?conferenceid=6& ... ameid=4364

so i saw this on the mcla game log and was confused....michigan won 8-0 and took 35 total shots.....the michigan goalie had 28 SAVES!?!? i mean even if the losing team (Colorado) took 35 shots also, whats the odds that 28 of 35 are on cage and they are ALL SAVED?!?!?

i mean i've seen lsa teams desperate to get notice fudge goalie saves, but michigan... why? and if the saves are legit, is that the greatest game a goalie has had in like the last like decade????

The author is from San Diego and probably trying to incite the "west coast bias" crew.

Will anyone be posting scores for the UCSB v. Chapman game? Either during or after?
