another rough week for USD.

USD came out strong and took a 3-1 lead at the end of the first quarter against top-25 Claremont. A week after defeating 19 LMU, the Toreros proved they could contend with top-25 teams on a regular basis. After holding the lead for much of the game USD made some clearing and ball handling errors to let Claremont catch up and force the game into overtime. A questionable-at-best flag gave Claremont a man-up opportunity and they finished.

Anyone know the record for 1-goal losses in a season? That's.. 4 tough losses on the season for the Toreros. Good luck the rest of the way, USD

While I appreciate you mentioning our game against Chapman I believe your analysis of the game is incorrect. Chapman did come out very hot and took a substantial lead going into the second quarter, but it was the play of Cal Poly's goalie (John Hatfield) and defense, specifically Mark Govan and Ryan Hatheway, that slowed down the Chapman assault. Our offense then executed and put up an impressive final three quarters against the Chapman defense, (the defense is much improved from years past and the goalie played well).

I believe a more accurate account of the game would be " Chapman roared out of the gates and took a large lead in the first but Cal Poly rallied and held them to their lowest goal total of the season while tallying six goals in the final three quarters".

The game was over after the first quarter. After that Chapman stopped moving the ball and started taking a bunch of 12 yard plus rips on a level plane. Chapmans offense stopped moving off ball and did a lot of ball watching. If you think that was your defense, so be it, but not how I saw it. Cal Poly had a couple of nice hard earned goals, but also had a couple of scores on bad passes/clears. To say you shut down Chapman is a bit of an exaggeration. Cal Poly held the ball for long periods of time starting in the second quarter and came up blank on most of those posessions. Your team made a good showing against #2 Chapman, but don't over state it. You should be proud of your team.

They did hold Chapman to 13 goals. I've been watching their scores and they haven't had a game like that since early in the season.

Arizona vs CSU --- Arizona= OVERRATED!! The wildcats are too young and inexperienced where it matters most to match the firepower of CSU.

I'm sorry, but I cannot read this stuff anymore. Arizona has many good players, yet they have not delivered this year, and I understand that. They built a schedule that was going to make them one of the best in the country, however, went through many off-season changes and that has hurt them tremendously. Last year, I believe there were 9 All-WCLL players on this team, and only lost 3 or 4 of them. The inexperience is coming from another aspect. I have been following the team pretty closely this year, and have noticed that they have had some great games, but obviously did not win. Basically what I want to say is, Arizona knows they are having a rough year, I don't think everyone needs to keep bashing them at this point.
