If Montana wins out, they finish with 5 wins and make playoffs.
If OSU wins out, they finish with 5 wins as well. I think they need a Montana loss, otherwise they end up with 5 wins and lose the head-to-head tie breaker with Montana.
Actually this is pretty close. . .
If UW beats OSU, they are the 3 seed (assuming SFU and UO have a combined total of one loss - to the other team)
If Montana wins out, they would be the 4 seed.
OSU leads the list of teams that can cause some trouble. . .if they beat UW, and all other games are won by the favorite (this is a big "if" - GU and BSU are obviously capable of spoiling the party). . .then there could be a 3-way tie between UW, Montana and OSU at 5-3. In a 3-way tie, since they would all be 1-1 vs. one another, it goes to goal differential.
In simplest form. . .OSU not only needs to beat UW this weekend, they need to win by 4 goals (and then win two more games vs. SFU, WSU and BSU). . . it should be very interesting.
Again. . .this all assumes BSU, GU, Idaho or WSU doesn't upset one of the forementioned teams. . .which is a pretty big assumption based upon the way a couple of these teams is playing.
I should have my preview article on this whole mess done by tonight and up on collegelax tomorrow morning.
