I knew that they did in the past, just curious about today as a lot of people have been talking up the goalie who plays the 1st half and the guy now is doing pretty well.

Even Patton is looking average. Stripped by Cole on that possession. Still 8-3.

SB gets one back, but it is starting to be too late. 8-4.

Conklin is definitely out of control with a lot of his checks. Surprised he is not called for more . . .

8-4 final. Huge win for the Cougars. SB looked lackluster at best. Neither Patton nor Wilson played like 1st Team AAs. Wilson didn't seem like he wanted the ball, but he was not doing much anyway. SB beat themselves on clears and overall lack of composure. BYU looked very solid on all parts of the ball. This has to be considered an upset, but UCSB surely did not play very well.

I was only able to catch the last minute and a half. I wish I would have known it was on the internet a little earlier. Man, it makes it hard to do work with that on.

Yeah I just caught the very end of the broadcast myself. Does anybody know if there's going to be a replay?

Good (solid) win for BYU. Certainly a lackluster second half by UCSB with no sense of urgency. The Gauchos have two ranked teams left on the slate (Arizona and Chapman) before the WCLL playoffs begin.

P.S. UCSB LSM Conklin is a player. I loved watching his energy on defense.

BYU deserves to be commended for their play today. They took it to UCSB and never let up. They were the better team today and earned the victory.

For the last couple of games, the UCSB offense has not been very effective, especially when playing from behind. Earlier in the year, Alex questioned how much the loss of Caulkins was going to affect the UCSB offense. I think we are beginning to see some of that effect now. Experience in big games cannot be quickly substituted for and UCSB needs to find a way to be more aggressive in the offensive zone.

I wonder of the altitude had anything to do with the ugly second half from the Gauchos, it seemed like the hit a wall in the second half, much like the A&M/BYU game. Can someone fromt he RMLC (that has actually spent time at sea level) elaborate on this-is it really that big of a deal in Utah?
