SB answers with a fast break goal to tie it. Brittain with a couple good saves so far.
Always on point . . .

Isaksen easily dodges his man and bounces one home for a 2-1 SB lead.

Cone scores again for BYU to make it 4-2. The Gauchos do not look comfortable and are hanging Brittain out to dry on many occasions.

4-2 at the end of one. Powers did make a nice save, but he doesn't seem as comfortable in this game as he did in the others. Brittain has had to make three tough saves to keep this game from getting out of hand. UCSB is certainly not playing the type of game that they like to play.

I love BYU TV on the web!

Hey Alex, as a goalie would it be better to step out on that shot and take away the angle or hang back as it appeared that Brittain did?

That last one he comitted the Cardinal Sin. He let the goalie score on the inside pipe. I'm coming out a little on that one personally (especailly when the ball is on that side of the field), but all goalies are a little different. I know Brittain likes to hang deep in the crease for a lot of his saves.

I think BYU is shooting a lot smarter than in past games. It's not so much the placement as so much when and how to shot. The one time they had time and space for acannon-Brittain comes up big, but most (if not all of the BYU goals) have been off cuts, quick shots, that is giving Btittain fits. I like the screwy change up goal. Nothing he could do about that. If the cougs can play possession ball and get some timely goals they can take it. But the Gauchos only need about a minute of possession to get back into this thing. We'll see....

Isaksen scores off hip to make it 4-3. He is very effortless out there (in a good way). Toyed with the shortie that time.

Game is being played more at a pace to suit SB, but BYU still leads late in the 2nd.
