The MDOC training committee is considering putting together a video which would help newer officials identify fouls. Much of the current training material tells you what to do once you identify a foul, but not how to determine what a foul actually is. As a first thought, I put together the following list. The idea is to highlight the most important fouls that occur 95% of the time, not the more esoteric fouls. The format would be a video clip followed by a text screen showing the "answer," so that the presenter could show the clip a few times, pause, start a discussion, and then show the answer. This format would keep costs down and allow us to cover more situations. Is there anything obvious I'm missing?
