I was impressed with USF a few years ago when they started playing 1A football. Florida has enough talent to support 4 football teams. They just need to focus on local talent and not worry as much with the national recruiting scene. I think a lot teams can do more if they keep the kids near home.
Michigan looks bad. Notre Dame is terrible. I think Notre Dame wins the pillow fight. I just do not see Michigan showing up for the game. I think they have too many injuries and other problems. Notre Dame is consistently one of the most overrated teams. It almost seems like the team is happy being a 3 loss team that goes to an above average bowl based on fan support. The bowl game is all about the trip. I still like Weis over Willingham for Notre Dame, but I am not sure if Willingham ever got a fair shot. Willingham is a great coach, and I think he could make Washington a Top 3 team in the Pac 10 with a chance to win it every year.
I think at this point the Pac 10 might be the best conference.
My Top 10 for this week:
1: USC (it's theirs to lose)
1A: LSU (best team I have seen so far)
3: Oklahoma (dismantled Miami)
4: WV (the dual threat is tough to beat)
5: Texas (homer maybe, but Charles and McCoy played well with a good D)
6: Florida (You got scored on by Troy, and 31 points)
7: Cal (playmakers make the plays)
8: Penn State (beat Notre Dame which is always impressive to pollsters)
9: Louisville (42 points to MTSU)
10: Ohio State (not impressed with the win, but it beat other teams)
Knocking at the door:
Wisconisn (not good against UNLV), VT (you don't fall that far when you lose to a team like LSU), Nebraska (until the Big 12 season starts), UCLA (could beat USC if the stars align), Rutgers (you still are Rutgers, but Rice is the real deal)
Early Departures:
Georgia (yeah it was Spurrier, but it also was SCSU with a strong SEC schedule ahead), Auburn (USF is the #2 team in Florida, but that doesn't say much this year), TCU (losing doesn't help, losing by 21 hurts), Mid Majors (Hawaii by 1 in OT and Boise St. losing equals no BCS for them), Notre Dame/Michigan game fans (that is if someone shows up for the game)

Notre Dame and Michigan are both 0-2 in the same season for the first time ever.
Today's loss was Michigan's worst loss since losing to Ohio State, 50-14, in 1968.
Michigan is 0-2 to start a season with both losses coming at home for the first time since Bump Elliott's first season as head coach in 1959.

Also, I want to see USC play some more as they didn't show much during their only game against Idaho. But of the other 119 teams, I think LSU is the team to beat right now.

I think Oregon will be a team to watch for in the Pac 10 and may even give USC a game when they play. The way the Oregon QB Dixon picked apart the Michigan Defense was incredible. Oregon did pretty much whatever they wanted all day.
Oklahoma looked fantastic all game against "The U'. Sam Bradford is for real at QB for them (threw 5 more TDs yesterday). they have a Trio of running backs that are good and the Defense is looking great. Only gave up a TD after a bad snap on a 4th down punt landed in the Red Zone.
Texas continues to look beatable. TCU has a good defense, not great but good. They have a horrible offense. Should make for interesting theatre when OU and Texas play in october.
My poor Hokies got trounced by possibly the best team in the Country.
My Top 5
1. USC
2. LSU - annihalted one of the best defenses in College Football - scary
3. OU
4. West Virginia
5. Wisconsin

The state of Florida has enough talent to support 10 1-A football teams. They produce 300+ 1-A recruits every single year.

Except if you are Georgia Tech and you win by 30 in South Bend 8 days ago.

According to who? I think LSU is the best team in the country right now, but VT is not good, plain and simple. They scored one TD at home against East Carolina the week before. Michigan would beat VT right now. ND would probably give them a run for their money.

Corso, is that you?
For the record, SCSU (that's South Carolina State University) will be playing South Carolina (you can say USC if you want, or even Carolina) this coming weekend.

My theory, USF is giving a new option in FL football. They will drain Miami's talent pool, so no matter what Miami does, they will be facing even greater competition than just FSU and U or F....???Thoughts...???
I'm not sure they'll drain Miami's talent pool... USF is actually in West Florida (Tampa). And I also agree with Sonny's statement. There's no shortage of talent in the state.
The new facilities at UCF are amazing, but I'm not sure they'll win the game against Texas. I'm excited to see what the new stadium (phase 1) will offer, however.

Sorry Kevin, but I cannot get to my brother's cell phone to post a rather bad picture I had taken with Corso. Coach Corso is an amazing guy, and I assure you that he is the real deal on the air. He is very sincere and even funnier on when you get to hear him speak.

Corso sucks.
And yes...I fully realize that he gets paid to do nothing but talk about football all day...that doesn't take away from the fact that he is an asshat.

I personally just got a kick out of them getting so bent out of shape about a video that had the purpose of getting USC Alums to donate money for athletics facilities.
