MCLA A Semis

The 2013 tournament returns to Greenville, SC this May.

few things, UCSB does have depth, they only choose to play 5 guys. Secondly, number 2 is a bad mother. Kid could barely walk as you could see the blood on the back of his ankle through his spatting. Had to be a good amount of blood. He still had some sick takeaways and runs even though he was obviously in pain.

depth means you have people to play... not just players sitting on the bench... if you only have 5 players you think are good enough to play then you don't have depth. i dont think you would ever choose not to play people you think could compete...

Interestingly enough, UCSB lost in the manner they they used to beat other teams, by running them ragged with 3 lines of middies and 4-5 long poles.

Sounds like a fast paced game going on w/CSU and Oregon. Also, it sounds like Oregon definitely has the advantage on face-offs (save the last face-off, fast break goal for CSU)

Sounds like a heck of a game between the Rams and Ducks. Looks like the 2 best teams will square off tomorrow night. BYU looks to avenge their only MCLA loss of the season and the Ducks look to solidify their place among the elite in the MCLA. Man I wish I was there to see this!
If you ever fall off the Sears Tower, just go real limp, because maybe you'll look like a dummy and people will try to catch you because, hey, free dummy.

Interesting to note that both the A and B Championship games will be #1 vs. #3 seeds. I just thought that was interesting...

I think Oregon already has soldifed their status, the comeback win tonight against CSU and the other wins against traditionally dominant teams this season show that Oregon is definitely a force to be reckoned with. The game against BYU tomorrow should be a great one.

the game was unreal. So happy for the ducks in their comeback win, it was amazing.

It was an great game, well played hard fought and Oregon adjusted and isolated very well in the second half and definitely earned their spot in the championship game against BYU. Congratulations to both teams. To the Florida players who showed very little class at the end of the game yelling OVERATED at the CSU parents if the RAMS are overated what does that make You? Not to mention it takes away from a great Oregon team that barely beat them but beat them none the less. I can understand why people want to see a new team in the championship game but the Ducks earned the bragging rights not the teams CSU beat. Even though I heard some cheers from the BYU team when the Ducks won I heard more than one say great game.

Congratulations to the Ducks for making it that far to get to the title game tomorrow against BYU. Look forward to watching the live reporting of the game on CollegeLax. It is nice to see a newcomer in the title game.

I was right there and heard this classless behaviour from the Gators. Disgusting lack of sportsmanship!

Apart from that both semi-final games were hard fought battles by the four best teams in the MCLA. Congrats to BYU and Oregon you both deserve to be in the championship and I expect it to be an amazing game.

However, if I was a betting man I'd put my money on BYU's amazing ride over the Ducks team of destiny aura! Can't wait to see the battle!

I know that SFU is the only non-RMLC or WCLL team ever to advance to the A championship game. . .when they did it in 1999. If Oregon can pull off the win tomorrow against the Cougs they will be making MCLA history.

Good luck to the Ducks and Grizzlies tomorrow. I'm not going to get much done tomorrow. . .

Best quote of the tourney:

Alex Smith talking to his team but directed at the Florida bench during his team's 13-6 first-round win: "We don't even care about that team. They are just a speed bump. That's all they have been."

It's no fun being the bump in the road to someone else's championship.
