I am starting to think, when you compare the fact that our league is literally twice the size as the other leagues, it might be time to split into two leagues completely...

What is the actual WCLL process for selecting all-conference teams?

If you vote with equal nominations per team & recognize those players for their contributions, call them Team MVPs, not All-Conference players. You're going to miss recognizing players because they played for a powerhouse to recognize players, that everyone knows aren't as skilled, as your All-Conference selections. It doesn't make any sense to me.

The PNCLL process is to have each coach select a 1st team, without choosing their own players. Then to rank their own players on who they think is deserving, some years you have 2 some years you rank 5. With each team voting, you get a pretty clear idea of who people think are the first team attackmen, poles, fogo, etc. If this is the process you're using now, & you're not happy with the results I'd ask that you take a step back. If player A isn't getting recognized as an All-Conference player, it's because the rest of his conference didn't think he was in elite at his position.

Just an outsiders 2 cents.

PAC-10 anyone?
The logistics may be too hard to overcome right now...but if club hockey can do it, so can we.

A PAC-6 is more likely due to logistics. That would require 2 easy trips a season. One up north and one to AZ for the LA teams. That would also give one AQ for 6 teams, rather than 20!
