Keg

Postby Stonehillcoach on Mon Apr 16, 2007 10:52 pm

The tradition goes back to the days when Dan Warren was coaching at Bridgewater as they put together the 1st cup. The actual cup seems to be altered slightly every year as the players from the winning team hold onto it. One thing you can be sure of this year is no keg will be involved in the finish product as it's against college alcohol policy. I'm pretty sure the original cup was actually more like a plaque and not a keg, but guys got creative in the past few years.

Either way, we are looking forward to a great game against our rivals and to hopefully keeping the cup in Easton.

Ryan

you don't mean that the old Keg can't be on the field do you? It is empty.

I was really trying hard to get off my shift tonight, but I can't make it.

Go BEARS!

Unfortunately, that is what he means. Kegs (full or empty) are not allowed on Stonehill's campus. I know it seems crazy but we need to choose our battles with the school. We have our guys working on an alternative which will be unveiled at the game tonight.

Ouch...that is ridiculous. But I hear you on choosing battles. Maybe the old one can be stored somewhere safe. The rules that colleges make regarding drinking just seem so absurd to me. If their was no drinking age, I bet you there would be less problems. Maybe not if they changed it tonight, but gradually, anywho...I digress.

Should be a good game tonight. Obviously I am biased, but I went to the BU/BSC game, and was suprised at BSC. They were way better than I thought.

My prediction> BSC 10 Stonehill 8. The Cup comes home to 'Watah!

17-4 Stonehill

Glad I didn't take work off for that game.

I give up

Congrats Chieftans. We'll get it back one of these years.

So that's what it looks like when your prison "roommate" has his way with you.

17-4. I am at a loss for words. Went the the BSC/BU game, and BSC looked better than I heard about. 17-4 makes me think I could bring my team down for a competitive scrimmage.
