The Australian women's team I think wore something like the unitard a few years ago. Most guys did not object.
The shorts are getting too long. At the knee is fine. If you go much longer than that like someone at St. Thomas then you look like you are wearing capris. Then I have to heckle you. Sorry, St. Thomas lacrosse players, but you gotta talk to those guys about the shorts.
I don't think the tight long sleeve shirt will last. Part of the reason basketball players generally wear a tank top or cut off shirt is to allow more freedom of movement. This is key when shooting.
I miss the old uniforms of the late 80s/early 90s.
Trivia: Who was the first player to wear the longer and baggier shorts? Bonus: Why?
How do you like this for a NCAA basketball uniform?

as you get older, quite frankly, the lamer you get.
It's the ACL repair and the arthritis.
but dribbling between your tattooed legs and wearing baggy shorts is hardly a "hood" quality
Agreed. That's what happens when your "Depends" give out.

I don't think the uniforms are so bad. The shorts might be a bit much but I know a certain recently graduated FSU attackman who was partial to XXXLs so let's leave race out of this shall we? Danny, let's get those jerseys done for Hogtowne next year.
I just read that the Ohio State version includes some Lebron "insignia" because he says that he would have attended OSU had he decided to grace college basketball with his holiness. Now, I just don't understand Ohio State agreeing to this. He was never associated with their school! Way to let Nike walk all over you.

The reason the US is getting the crap kicked out of it in international basketball is because none of the "best" players in the NBA can play defense or shoot from the outside. Thus, teams like Yugoslavia and Greece routinely wipe the floor with the "dream team."

I may remember most of the episodes when I would sit and watch that show with my son when he was young. Will never forget that episode on Artie the lizard. Anyway, www.sploofus.com has a long list of Saved by the Bell trivia quizzes. Of course, one would have to register to play.
Now, back to the real topic... still hate those new-look uniforms. I agree with those about the long sleeve which may "impede" the shooter's throwing movements. Do wonder what the folks in the study and focus groups thought about that.
Remember that NBA announced that they would be using the new NBA ball. Now, they are back to the old NBA ball, right? That was because the players complained that they did not like everything about the new ball.

the reason they're getting their butts kicked is because they have all the wrong players. international basketball has improved by leaps and bounds since the original dream teams. they might as well have been playing pick up games against tall junior high kids. those international teams also play together a lot more. gone are the days when we can just throw together some pros and dominate. team chemistry and play wins over talent.
international and nba ball are completely different. the nba (though starting to move more towards run and gun again) is all about physicality and downlow play and drives to the hoop. european players stress the jumpshots and threes much more. it's too different styles, and the international rules favor the latter. there's a reason a lot of european players don't star in the nba. the only one i can think of right now that you could build a team around (and was) is dirk. peja? ginobili? parker? they are certainly all good players, but are more pieces to the puzzle than building blocks.
on a different note, saved by the bell defined who i am.
oh, and i think the uniforms are hideous. the shorts do look like skirts, and look even baggier with the tight underarmour looking shirts. no bueno.
