Hopefully they'll continue to take their lumps and use these losses as fuel for their fire in years to come. I know that kind of loss would be in my pregame speech every time i played sfu from here on out.

Jake had a 5 goal / 2 assist day against UW and we are heading in the right direction. It takes time and like anything, patience. We'll get a couple of our injured guys back before our next game so we'll be able to field a couple of full middie lines and have more than one long-pole sub. It's all good, we aren't just going to lie down and take it.

I talked to the guys at MSU and they said the game didn't happen and was supposed to have been taken off the schedule...

Congrats to U of O for sure. And also congrats to all the people at the high school level in Oregon who prepared these guys. Take a peek at the Ducks roster. It is very much homegrown. There's a guy here and there from CA, ID, WA and AZ, but almost no one from east of there, not even CO, TX or UT.

With regards to the argument about lopsided wins, I agree that it is best to play teams as equals. I've been on both sides of it as a HS coach. If a team plays its opponent hard for four quarters, doesn't let their studs pile up stats, and doesn't do anything on the bench or on the field to belittle the opponent, that's respectful. You can win 11-3 and be jerks about it. You can win 21-2 and be classy. Often those who complain are not the ones on the losing end, but a group of holier-than-thous looking to make themselves feel good.

Oregon has a great long stick from Colorado who transfered this year. Nick Reilly #19. They also seem to be getting more Washington kids coming down in recent years who want to play on a competative club team.

I posted this over in the Live Action forum, but just so it doesn't get missed by PNCLL followers, here is a link to a 7:00 minute highlight film on the Oregon v. CSU game.
