Also, I think it is great that BYU has the manpower and resources to put out so many releases, but does anyone really care how their in practice scrimmage went this week.
Sounds like some cheesy scare tactics or maybe some people up in Provo have too much time on their hands.
"Cheesy scare tactics"??!!?? Does anybody really think they NEED to try scare tactics, cheesy or otherwise? Apparently, Utah State pulled out of the scheduled season opener at the last minute (in partial deference to another topic on this forum, at least they rescheduled...), so BYU used the stuff (field, refs, scoreboard, webcast, student reporters, etc.) that had been set up for a "real" game. Are things like "... work out kinks ... provided good game-like experience ... exposed some areas of weakness for the team to focus on ..." really all that scary? I would think that some press from a western school which actually seems to care about their (club) lacrosse team (and some press which doesn't involve strippers and legal cases) would be seen as a good thing.
I think the Arizona results will be very interesting indeed, and look forward to hearing about the weekend, and ANY stories about how the season is starting off.
