We have seen "Braveheart", "Passion of Christ" and now this one is now in the theaters, "Apocalypto."
It will be interesting to see how many people are going to flock to this movie. Not sure if this is going to be a correct question, but it is really begging to see if it is worth seeing another Mel Gibson movie.

I thought the movie was extremely impressive. They had a private screening in our new film school this past Thursday, and everyone in attendance seemed to be pretty excited about the film. I thought this was a great result for the film as the students and professors in the film school are so incredibly picky about the different components that go into making a movie.

It's your formulaic action-adventure where the peace-loving village is set upon by barbarians, the loving family is split up, Dad vows to return, narrowly escapes death with a thrilling dash through the jungle, and then spends the rest of the movie wreaking vengeance on the evildoers before reuniting with the family and living happily ever after.
Oh, and it's all in Mayan dialect!
While standard formula, the WAY it is filmed is what makes it a blockbuster! Very bloody, very, very exciting!

You can check the info at Internet Movie Database
I often check out imdb.com to get the skinny about the actors, etc.

If I can listen to Wagner, read Bukowski, and watch Polanski movies, then I can separate Mel Gibson's personal douchebaggery from his art.
