We have a couple of spots left for the Turku tournament in Finland. It is on the 17th and 18th June. The plan is as follows:
- Everyone sorts out their own flights
- Most people plan to fly in to Helsinki, party hard on Thursday night with members of Helsinki Lax (crash on floors). Bus/train to Turku on the Friday.
- Hostel/hotel in Turku (need numbers ASAP to sort out with Tade)
- Loads of beer and a weekend of LAX
Any US players fancy a trip to Finland?

Sounds a little unorganized if you have guys sleeping on the floors. You also make this sound more like an international beer swilling event more than fun lacrosse. Based on your description of the events taking place, I know I wouldn't be interested in being part of it!

I'm sorry, but what tournament isn't a big beer swilling event?

Sure it will be great. The Finns are great people and LAX is really growing fast. In fact they have a guy playing at New York Tech right now. Not bad for someone who has played only 2.5 years

Will be a great time in Finland. Many thanks for your best wishes with helping the growth of Finnish LAX. Why not come support them in the Worlds this Summer?

Oh, and as it happens I slept on a floor for a week when I coached in Latvia. Great country.
The floor in Holland was good too. Having run 2 camps there.

Hey Snoop,
Do you have any idea if there are any tournaments in Germany this summer? I'm most likely going to be spending a month there in August/September...

There may be. I went to the Berlin Open last year with my Summer team Gin & Juice. Great tournie! But this year is the Soccer (football to me) World Cup in Germany. Not a field in Berlin that is not taken up with some kind of football.
P.M me your email address and I can forward it to buddies in Germany.

I can't tell you how many floors I've slept on when other teams in the UMLL put us up at their houses right when UWEC joined the league and had next to zero cash. It's not that bad. And also, it's meant to be fun man. This isn't USA v. Finland at the World Champs, it's just to get together, enjoy some great lacrosse, expand the sport, and make new friends. Beer swilling is only a side benefit

You hit the nail on the head.
