Canalacrosse: They are discussing the Bateman transfer in the BYU post. And remember, he and Simmons are middies, not attack, so I don't think they'll be facing poles. You can't have 5 poles on the field at once if I remember correctly.

This is true but when we played Bateman was playing attack for alot of the game and you can always invert and lock of bateman? Who knows what different teams will do but i imagine that Bateman and Simmons are key to any teams playing them games plans.

First off, congrats to UVSC on a big win, and maybe a bigger congrats to UNC. my big question though, I want to know how UVSC compared to Clarmont and San Diego this year. I wonder why no one is talkinng about UVSC cracking the top 3, I'm just as impressed with them as i am the top 3
Oh...thats so hot!

UVSC is deffinatly better than Claremont and USD. The California teams don't know how to play a physical game, We brought it to them hard and put them on their heels, had it not been our first and second games of the year compared to their third and fifth games it would have been a different story. No disrespect to them at all they are great teams but the RMLC is hands down more well rounded. (also I haven't seen them play since February so take all of this with a grain or two of salt)

The next big games in Division B have to be the match ups between Western, Fort and UNC. All 3 teams are fighting for that 2, 3, 4 spot in the playoffs and every game is crucial. I would call this Rivalry Weekend as all 3 teams have a pretty good history and enjoy each others competition. As for my analysis I think Western is probably the hottest team in the division right now after starting 0-4 they have battled back to win 4 out of their last 5 games. Fort Lewis has the best record out of the 3 but that is no indication of how this next weekend will play out. They endured the worst loss to division leader UVSC by 9 as Western only lost to the Wolverines by 5 and UNC taking them to the wire on Saturday and only losing by 3. I also feel Fort hasn’t played any body worth talking about besides UVSC. They do although have home field advantage through out the rest of the regular season. As for UNC I think they have the talent to get the job done the big win against Montana State and holding on with UVSC proves to me that they will give both Western and Fort a good run. The only disadvantage I can see is the travel. UNC has to make the trips to both Durango and Gunnison this weekend.

Since 2001
Fort Lewis has a 3-1 series advantage over UNC
Fort Lewis also carries a 2-1 series advantage over Western
UNC has the upperhand over Western leading the all time series 4-2

Western although beat Fort Lewis last year for the first time in school history and beat UNC in the Playoffs last year for their first playoff win in school history.

If you want my predictions I think all 3 teams will split this weekend going 1-1. I’m not sure who’s going to beat who but it sure will be exciting to find out. Let’s also not forget about Montana State and Mines they are right there in the thick of things which make these games even more important for seeding.

Ok so I have to ask fort why would you put up 27 on pueblo? Like isn't their a point you stop or work on ball movement or something else? 27-3 Why would you run up the score that much to pad your stats? we started putting in our 3rd middie lines against regis in the late second quater and our 4th and 5th start of second half but we could have run up the score against regis but honestly what is the point? after 10+ goals you don't get anymore "weighting" on lax power, so.....? Just curious what the strategy or thought was behind this game on behalf of fort?

Hypothetical Possibility:
Western State finishes the season 4-4 (losses to UVSC, Mines, Mont St, and UNC) in conference qualifying play, Fort finishes 4-4 (losses to UVSC, UNC, Western, and Mont St) and Mines (losses to UVSC, Mont St, Fort, UNC) also finishes 4-4.

Three way tie...Western holds a tie-breaker over Fort, but Mines holds a tie-breaker over Western, and Fort holds a tie-breaker over Mines.

Looks like it's a possibility that playoffs could come down to point differentials.

This is not decided, but merely a possibility out there. My question is, do all games count towards point differential, or just RMLC games, or just RMLC playoff counting games?

I'm not sure on that one aflac but i know that you only get a point adjustment on laxpower for 10 goal differential. After that it don't matter. is the goals the first tie breaker? I just can't justify a 24 goal railing no matter what it seems kinda petty and possible stat padding.

There have been plenty of blowouts throughout the year. Would 21-0 been better? Third and fourth string should ba able to score as many as they can. All and all, it's the defense job to stop the 3rd and 4th string just like the 1st and 2nd.
