I echo Champs congratulations for UofM - 2 victories in 1 day makes the bus ride home much easier!
Also congratulations to Mankato for not only enduring miserable conditions, but also overcoming them and emerging victorious.

Maybe it is late for me since it is now about 11:10 pm CST, I was about to say out loud that those guys must have been skating on icy field, but I can imagine they have good pairs of sneakers with excellent braking. Nevertheless, it would be nice to see how it looked when one is taking pictures of this game. With that kind of score, those guys must have done a good job with ball control.

Having played more than one game myself in these type of conditions, I can assure you it is misserable. Everyone is cold and shivering, traction is gone, clothes and shoes are soaked, hands are freezing, etc.
You just have to hope your hands will do what you ask them to, as for me the most difficult part of playing in the cold is keeping my hands dextrous.

Today was much better day. Started off with some rain, but stopped about game time.

So far, a fairyly good weekend for the UMLL in OOC play
Any ISU Scores?
How about St. Olaf Illinois State ? Texole- do you have a score
And a little birdie said that UWEC has improved from last year, given their performance this am.

I find it highly amusing that whitcd is complaining about bad conditions!
Absolutely the worst day I have ever faced on a lacrosse field was at Mankato about 5 or 6 years ago. Boot-sucking mud, rain, followed by sleet, a good 15+ mph wind, 35 degree temp range - just lovely!
I've never been so cold and wet in my life...
