final 10-9 Sonoma. Oh and if you think the field is brutal now... Oregon and Cal Poly play on it tomorrow, then Cal Poly and Sonoma play on it again on Sunday!

It crashed at a pretty bad time
Final Score 10-9, Sonoma wins. From all reports, it was a great game for the conditions they were playing in. Oregon had a few good looks at the end, but couldn't put it away. Cordova played great in the cage, making crucial one on one saves at the end to give Oregon a chance. We'll get another chance at them. GO DUCKS

Worst "field" I have ever played any game on. Was a battle to the end and streaky by both teams, but a good game all around. Hopefully the game tomorrow is being moved to a new location.

I hope that was a sarcastic question. Take the leading scorer off any team and things will not be the same. But here is my perspective, the Ducks have a number of good players and would fill the hole one way or another if he was not playing. Would the outcomes be different, probably but not a whole lot as other starters would raise their game and a player from the bench would step in a fill the hole.

I'm hearing tomorrow's game between Oregon and Cal Poly is being moved to nearby Novato High School, hopefully its a turf field. Even if not, it can't possibly be any worse than the field at Sonoma.

It's too bad this didn't happen last Wednesday. It sure would have been a better test of lacrosse to see UCSB & Oregon play Sonoma on a real field.
On the other hand, the games were close and entertaining. Watching lacrosse under those conditions was something you don't see very often and I will never forget it. So, a final look....

As a player in this game I can tell you that these pictures don't do justice. It rained the entire game so this mud was up to my ankles and where you could see grass there was standing water up to my ankles. ALL CALIFORNIA SCHOOLS NEED TURF!!!
