I posted this a few months ago, but there is a lacrosse playbook program coming out from Power Team Sports in the next few months. I think the basic version will run about $150. PTS already does similar software for most major sports, and their product is used extensively from the high school through professional levels.

Here's another...
There are several out there. Prices range extensively. Here is one that I found that is $99. I haven't personally used it, however, I have watched the demos. It seems simple, but perhaps too simple.

I have been using a basic design similar to the elacrosse thing for about 6 years. I drew it up on publisher and it does about the same thing. There is also one from playmax thats ok but the interface is hard to use.
One question concerning lacrosse software- Does anyone have or know of a lacrosse statistics software that is decent? I've tried one(trial version) designed for indoor and i know of the all-stats one(NCAA version), but all-stats is too expensive right now. Any help appreciated.

Echo that. Statcrew is what most decent varsity programs use. It's simple (DOS based interface), but it's very good. We have our managers do the stats live on a laptop at the game, and we have a portable printer with us so we can print stats at any point we need them. I tracks as much details as you could ever want. It creates HTML files and pdf files for easy conversion to the web. It also can be linked to a wireless network for live web updates if you want. It can even link with, and control, some scoreboards.

JP any word if Power Team Sports is going to put together a Lacrosse program? I just checked their website and they don't have lax listed as one of their sports.

I haven't been in touch with them in awhile. They sent me some of their design work for the lacrosse software last spring, but I haven't heard where they are now.

Another nice feature of StatCrew is that is has a live xml output. BYU used it to output live stats to StatCrew "Game Viewer" applications loaded on 5 PC's over an ethernet network . It really helped with accuracy of stats for broadcast. BYU may add the live webcast stats package this season.
