ohh yeah by the way WOU played Willamette too and won 17-1.

Since when are the Willamette games a measuring stick of how good a team is in this league? I suddenly feel all warm and fuzzy inside like I'm important for some reason.

Well said friend. I think the absurdity in Mr. WOU's argument has been revealed. Whitman beat Willamette 8-3, Whitman didn't beat WOU (by his logic), and Willamette lost to WOU 17-1. Clearly WOU beat Whitman.

Anyways, I don't like the cocky nature of Mr. WOU's statements. To be sure, I heard that Whitman controlled that entire game and the only reason it was close was b/c of a few garbage goals by WOU. I heard (again, I wasn't there) that Whitman had a sizeable lead all game and controlled the tempo. Don't get too fired up.

I apologize for saying "handily", I think if you read my post completely you will see that I was in no way trying to knock Western Oregon. And congrats on your win over Willamette. However, my point remains the same. I think comparing scores means absolutely nothing, as matchups seem to be a major factor in this league. I was also not trying to toot Albertson's horn over the Willamette game, merely trying to add to my point that SCORES DON'T MATTER.

Different players (and teams) will have different strengths and weaknesses to bring to the table. Some players will simply match up better against other players due to this. The logic that "if my team beat your team by 4 goals and their team beat your team by 1 goal, then my team will beat their team too" doesn't hold much weight around here.

i don't think that Woulax4 was trying to be cocky, i was there and playing so i can say that Whitman is a good team and they came out and outplayed us that day, however I also can say that as a captain on that team we did not play to the best of our best ability. That is completely our own team's fault and that think that was the point woulax4 was trying to make. Whitman was able to come out and score some goals early and control the game due to the fact that we did not show up ready to play, so we feel as a team that we beat ourselves a little bit. I also think that every team feels like they beat themselves in a game at some point, but that does not take away from the fact that the other team is able to play a better game and take advantage of the fact that one team doesn't come out hard. Therefore i think that on that day Whitman was the better team. This is part of the problem with posts, is that the message can be read completely different than how the author intended it. Good job Whitman, i hope we can meet again in the play-offs or next season.
The true test of a player's character is not how he wins, but how he loses.

Sounds like the Ducks found their footing... Were they able to rotate through the bench? any backup goalies play?

The Mizz vs Oregon game is listed at 7:00pm on the schedule.
Is that a prediction or did the game get moved?

That was a prediction, final was 15-9 Oregon. Was a good game on a white field of hail/snow/slush mix. Mizzou goalie played unreal or the game would have been worse. Mizzou is a good team and the players are all nice guys. Good Luck to them the rest of the year.
