Hey Everyone,
What's the name of the program that lets you transfer Mp3's from your iPod onto your computer, so you can grab all of your friends music and put it on your computer? I believe I've heard it mentioned on the boards here before, but can't find where it was brought up... Thanks!

EphPod is Windows/Linux software that lets you access the filesystem where MP3s are stored on an iPod. It worked fairly well when I used it a couple years ago. I seem to remember that it had some trouble writing files back into the itunes database and corrupted mine: http://www.ephpod.com/
Files purchased through iTunes will have DRM protection on them. You may use JHymn to remove this DRM protection. JHymn currently only works for iPods configured for Itunes versions before 6.0: http://hymn-project.org/jhymndoc/
(Disclaimer: Although under the copyright fair use clause it is legal for you to make copies for personal use of music that you purchased, using JHymn will violate the EULA that you agreed to when you installed iTunes. JHymn may or may not violate the DCMA. Caveat emptor.)
OurTunes lets you grab music from folders people on your local network share within iTunes. Usually, you can just stream it: http://ourtunes.sourceforge.net/

Someone please help me.
I am getting another Ipod today. The 30 with all the bells and whistles. I had the 20, but it was stolen. So, I have Itunes, with my original library. Will I be able to just add everything I had, including purchased songs to my new Ipod? Or will I have to go through the whole process of reinstalling the new Itunes and all?
I cant count on the guy at the store.

I never had a steady girlfriend like you, but I did get kicked in the balls once by a mule.

They may ask you to re-install itunes but your library will still remain. It should be gravy getting your songs onto your new ipod.
