Week 1 in RMLC

Postby Phantanimal on Sun Feb 12, 2006 2:05 am

UVSC beat Western 13-8 in what was a close game in the first half, then UVSC went on a roll in the 2nd.

Just a note- Due to the lack of venue options for the scheduling officer to choose from on the RMLAX site, some games are listed as being played at USU that are actually being played elsewhere... most likely the BYU indoor facility. With visiting teams playing multiple games, some of the home venues, such as UVSC, are listed as Utah State because that is the venue name that appears the closest to Utah Valley State.

USU is playing Western in the first ever RMLC game in the Stan Laub Center, USU's Varsity training facility, @ 10:00am Sunday Feb 12th.

Phantanimal wrote:Just in... Utah State beats Western 12-6. USU opened their season with an early Sunday morning game that turned out to be a win for the Blue and White. This was the first of 3 home games in a row for the Aggies that are being played in the Stan Laub Training Facility. The Ag's kept the penalites down and Freshman Goalie Spencer Lee had a great showing for his first collegiate start with 17 saves.

Box Scores
USU 1-4-5-2
WSC- 3-1-1-1

USU's next game will be against Simon Fraser on Thursday morning of the 23rd @ 9:00am.

Outstanding for USU to get the indoor facility. I would have attended but I was in denver for a couple of box games. More than a few RMLCers of the past were in attendance, including reps of USU, the Fort, CSU, and CU to name a few. Let me just say the night before went alot smoother than sunday game day did.
