Okay, I lied, it wasn't my final word....

Well, that call led to the 3rd and long that resulted in a pick, runback, random tackling penalty, & PIT TD (it wasn't even 4 plays later). It could have been a Seattle 1st and goal from the 1... resulting in what is most likely a 17-14 Hawk lead.

Whatever the result of the other questionable calls, they were questionable. The Big Ben TD, admittedly probably not in, should have stayed a TD, because that was the call. Realistically, I'd assume they get in on 4th and inches regardless, assuming they go for it. That's a judgement call, and it happens. My issue is still the hold, I don't see a giant conspiracy theory, enless I see some official betting slips, we'll assume it was a bad official day. The hold was a 14 point swing, and drastically effected the remaining minutes of play. Your article seems to agree, so I don't see the problem. It may be a Steeler title, but I put an asterisk next to it... For both a crappy game, and some key calls. Too bad there won't be a rematch next season, and its too bad some time is left on Steven's contract (I'm pretty sure there is, just don't want to look it up).

Better you should vent at the atrocious Seahawk clock management, and the bad coverage that allowed the Steelers to convert a 3rd-and-28, and blah blah blah-de-blah. The Steelers won because, as poorly as they played, they still managed to play better than the Seahawks did." (emphasis added)


Penalties happen, whether you agree with them or not. It doesn't change the fact that the Seahawks did everything they could to give this game away.

Being a WI kid, I'm permanently bitter at Holmgren; he took Hasselbeck from GB when he left, in addition to attempting to take Favre, and almost the entire front office. I'll never root for a Holmgren coached team. While I don't have any big ties to Pitt, I'm happy to see them win. Fitting way for Bettis to go out, who I've always thought was a very admirable fellow.
