One question crease quiz

Postby LaxRef on Sun Jan 29, 2006 5:48 pm

2006 NCAA Rules.

Attackman A1 drives to the crease and, with both feet out of the crease, intentionally falls into the cylinder of the crease without his feet leaving the ground. While falling, he shoots. The ball enters the goal, and then his body lands on the ground in the crease. No part of his body touches on or inside the crease line before the ball completely breaks the plane of the goal.

Goal or no goal?

Would you mind restating your question and leave out the word "intentionally"?

Nope. It is intentional. However, if you feel there are different answers depending on whether it's intentional or not, you can give both answers.

I realize your intentional was intentional. That being the case, I would say no goal.

What rule would you base this call on (NCAA 2006 Rules)?

It was based on the "what I think is right at the moment" rules. Based on NCAA 2006 rules, I'm changing my answer to yes it is a goal.
